Section C, Item 20: My wife's address in Thailand was not written in Thai...............yes, I'm pissed. Now I have to go to a Thai restaurant tonight to get one of the young ladies their to write it for me.

Finally, my I-130 application has been received and routed to VSC. I got the email text from Chicago Lockbox.

The text follows:

With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your application using My Case Status. Thanks TheSahlis! I was little worried about the delay (almost 3 weeks) of NOA1. Normally everybody gets it in 2 weeks timeframe. Now my problem is solved :-)

Now we all have to wait patiently for another 4 to 6 months time, if it is not expedite and not DCF filing.

Komangsky, I will periodically update the spreadsheet and will collect the info in this thread for our overview.

There are only 2 steps - "Decision" and "Post Decision Activity"

Do you all guys see the same when you enter your Receipt#?

yes the new update to the uscis site now shows only the steps that are relevant to your particular application.

Testing and Interview

Decision

Post Decision Activity

Oath Ceremony

Card/Document Production

I think this is very generalized steps across all the applications including Naturalization etc.

Now the below are the only steps:

Initial Review <--- We are here and need 4 to 6 months patient wait :-)

Decision

Post Decision Activity

Sent mine back overnight yesterday and it has just arrived. I hope that it will forwarded on to a SC ASAP, it was already neatly organized in 3 separate portions when they sent it back to me. My thinking is they just needed her address in Thai before approving it.

Now you are all set. Wait for 1 to 2 weeks to get email/SMS text (if you have filed G-1145), check clearing and hard copy of NOA1.
