My last numbers are 675

Last few numbers do not make sense. Go with the entire number backwards and see many I-130 approvals are there in the system.

USCIS site is not much reliable, BTW. Also, few will be expedited approval too.

This method is not 100% foolproof, but just to get an idea :star:

Like loto said, the method is to get an idea of how many i-130 applications around your case numbers have been approved.

it does help to keep track of the dates and approvals of other people who filed around the same time and at the same service center. for example, i filed before loto, but loto got his NOA2 before mine, so I knew it must be only a week or two away, and viola, i got my email notice exactly a week later.

California filers, stay strong; it seems CSC hasn't caught up to July yet.

NVC:

10/15/2010 - NVC received the case

10/20/2010 - NVC Case # assigned

10/20/2010 - Beneficiary emailed DS3032 COA

10/28/2010 - called NVC, still no idea about the IIN and case status

10/30/2010 - received email with IIN and AOS payment instructions.

10/31/2010 - AOS fee payment; status : IN PROGRESS

11/01/2010 - Beneficiary emailed DS3032 COA again; with attached copy of signed barcoded COA.

11/01/2010 - Emailed lastname correction with Passport Biography page

11/02/2010 - Beneficiary received email with confirmation/approval of DS2032

11/02/2010 - IV fee payment; status : IN PROGRESS

11/03/2010 - AOS fee payment; status: PAID

11/04/2010 - IV fee payment; status: PAID

11/05/2010 - AOS package mailed

11/05/2020 - IV package mailed

11/08/2010 - AOS package delivered

11/10/2010 - Resent mail lastname correction with Passport Biography page

01/25/2011 - Scheduled interview date

12/28/2010 - Arranged earlier interview by calling consulate directly

what do you mean by "entire number backwards"? How many digits?

I don't know CSC receipt# format.

VSC format is EAC 10-9-nnnnnnn

where:

EAC - VSC prefix

10 - Fiscal year 2010

9 - Some constant

nnnnnnn - 7 digit serial number

This 7 digit serial number is the case# assigned by VSC in the fiscal year 2010 for all cases (I-130,I-765,I-131,I-485 etc.).

Now let's say, my case# is EAC-10-9-0335579 (This is not my actual receipt# :star:)

Now subtract one by one from the number 0335579 to see ONLY I-130 cases and see their status.

Footenote: This is not a reliable method of predicting the things. It just gives an idea where you stand. Some approved I-130 could be expedited too. Also USCIS site is not reliable (Mine still shows Initial Review :star:)
