That was probably more than that! hehe It felt as if we had known each other for ages, I met my true soulmate :)

Loto, when our case will be approved? hehehe Can you foresee? :D

Let me tell the truth. CSC is currently taking an average 5 months (some gets in 4 months and some in 6 months too) from the filing date (Receipt date) to the approval date for regular non-expedited petitions. July filers in CSC can expect the approval in December. But, this is based on the current projection.

You never know things will change in the coming months too. CIS Ombudsman's update (Update was in June 2010) showed USCIS has to approve 750,000 I-130 petitions by Dec 31, 2010, but that includes USC and LPR petitioners.

http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=4&office=2&charttype=1 (I-130 Immediate Relative - USC petitioner - Name it as C1)

http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=5&office=2&charttype=1 (I-130 Immediate Relative - LPR petitioner - Name it as C2)

Average monthly completion is 20,200 for C1 and 18,600 for C2 since the beginning of this year - 2010.

Based on this trend C1 will have 242,000 approvals and C2 will have 223,000 approvals by the end of this year.

This makes a total of 465,000 approvals in CSC by the end of this year.

Now, based on CIS Ombudsman's update, USCIS has to catch up an additional 285,000 approvals.

If they do it, average processing time will fall to 4 months very well. Then CSC guys can expect the approvals in November too.

thank you so much loto,

yes you gave me this link before and i reviewed it, but that's all have to get for now to get ready for the nvc stage?

and by the way iv is the ds-230? correct! and also when you said part one filled and signed by (beneficiary) you meant petitioner, i guess that needs to be corrected.

hopefully me and you join the nvc group soon!

Ayoub,

See skynaut's and Debby's responses. DS-230 has to be completed and signed by your wife. Don't sign part 2, it will be signed by her at the Consulate interview time.

Congrats to all..I am sure the last two of you at VSC will hit it big within the next week or so...sure seems like it. Has anyone from our group from CSC been approved for NOA2? I got a funny feeling the CSC people will be waiting quite a bit longer.

Anyways, update with me, wife faxed in her daughter's medical record on Tuesday evening. We've received touches on 9/28, 9/29 and 9/30 respectively. Now just waiting to hear if we're going to qualify for expedited processing and if approved how long 'expedited' really takes.

Ok, going Deer hunting this afternoon...look forward to some new NOA2's when I get back tonight!

I do not know if its jealousy or envy or what...but I am pretty mad that people who have filed the same date as me or after are getting approved at VSC while all of the CSC filers just sit and wait for months and months. We pay the same amount, and have to wait much longer..if CSC is so damn backed up, then transfer some files to VSC!!!!! Grr....I am happy for everyone that has got accepted regardless of the service center, I am just not happy with USCIS!

Edited by apeters

7/2/10- NOA1

2/9/11- NOA2 (transferred to Texas)

VSC is working faster than CSC? When are they coming to August, on the website it shows

July 10.

Art,

July 10 that you saw is the last updated month in their system with the case receipts, completions etc.

The receipts are correct for the month. But the completions in July 10 are not the completions for July filers. If that's the case, July filers would have been approved in less than 30 days time! July 10 completions are for the prior months.

For example, few July filers here approved in Sep. Their head count will be in Sep 10 list which will be published after 2 months from now. USCIS chart is 2 months behind of the current date.

You are right. VSC is working faster than CSC. The reason is they accepted only few (2 digits) petitions until May 10. Then slowly accelarating the receipts from Jun 10. Their pending cases are very few - around 8,000+ compared to CSC pending cases of 104,000+. The pending cases of VSC dropped dramatically because they accepted very few I-130 petitions in the prior months of the year to process other petitions such as TPS, EAD etc. And Chicago Lockbox forwarded almost all I-130 petitions across the U.S to CSC and they clogged with these petitions.

Loto

Art, when you will reach NOA2 level?

Based on the current trend, you may hear it in another one month time.
