I do have a question for the BrainTrust here...I lived in the States for 5 years on an E2 visa..my wife and I met a few years back...and we were going to get married...E2 came up for renewal..denied!! So I had to move back to Canada...so we decided to get married sooner than later. Ok, now the question, do ya think my case might go a bit quicker with my previous history there? and just recently leaving the United States? In regards to background checks and all that sort? and does occupation/skillset play into it at all? I'm a chiropractor. Oh, and I have a USC son from a previous relationship..with a hefty child support order every month. Gracious thank you's to everyone that replies.

Sorry to say that based on your situation, there is no expedite process. You will have to go through a normal IR1/CR1 process.

I wasn't worried about expedited processing..I was just wondering if it would make the ajudication process go quicker..since I have a recent history there already.

Maybe some of my fellow Canadians can help me out..I live down in Windsor, Ontario..I've seen that the consular interview is in Montreal? Can I not have it done in Toronto?

No, sadly there are only two consulates doing interviews in Canada. Montreal and Vancouver. Montreal does the vast majority and is sadly running very slowly at the moment. See the Canada forum for more info.

I see we're n the same boat..timewise..my attorney the other day said we should get our NOA2 by around Sept 19th..I'm hoping by the time our interviews come around after NVC, Montreal wont be so slow. Right now, Montreal being slow doesn't factor into our timeline. The medical exam can be done in Toronto though?

I'm not sure how fast CSC is processing right now but two months for an NOA2 might be a bit optimistic but good luck!

Your medical can be done by any of the approved panel physicians in Canada, unfortunately there are only four (one in Vancouver, one in Toronto and two in Montreal).
