Just a quick questions: We are all waiting for our NOA2, and I know it is gonna take a while, I read they going to run a background check, so I just wonder if they run background check for a US citizen only or both?

I got my NOA-1 / I-797C today 08/16/2010 from california center. I am from florida and i sent my application on 07/26/2010. As per paper my priority date is 08/01/2010 and received date is 08/01/2010 as well. Thnks to all especially Lots of Patience. How come my timeline does not display?

See, you told us you are from TSC. Now you are officially from CSC. I think NSC and TSC do not process I-130 applications. It is CSC and VSC job. I'll update your timeline tomorrow. Congrats for your NOA1! Now your PO Box problem solved, huh?

There is no biometrics (fingerprint) for IR1/CR1 visa under normal process.

Hey, we also got our NOA1 August 16th and our priority date is August 1st and we are dealing with CSC too hehehe smile.gif

You can slowly start gathering documents that are necessary for the interview maybe. If uscis needs something from you, you will be notified.

Hello, I'm just joining the July 2010 filers club!

I too want to know what I should be doing in the meantime while waiting for NOA2?

Skynaut is correct.

USCIS will not correspond until NOA2 other than any RFE or local office case transfer etc. NOA1 to NOA2 timeline is about 4 to 6 months.

However, it is a good idea to collect all required documents of both the beneficiary and the petitioner that need to be submitted to NVC other than Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) and Employment Letter. Though PCC has 1 year validity generally, some posts will consider only 6 months and I saw another only 3 months.
