Hello everyone,

I already booked a flight to California this coming August 4 and my flight is around 10:30am through China Airlines. Since I'm from Davao and I want to go there the night before so I'm planning to purchase a last flight ticket on August 3 to avoid any delays i might encounter. my question is, can I wait or sleep inside the NAIA terminal 1 up until my 10:30am International flight?

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks,

It might be possible cuz there's an area before you proceed to the gates where I saw several people sleeping on the chairs. That was around 5am.

I slept there and had no problems whatsoever last year, infact there were I'd say at least 50 other people in there as well. I'm going to say that you will not have any problems. However a word of warning, sleeping in a public place, even in the airport, has it's risks. I felt very safe in the airport but that does not change the fact that random people are around you and walking past. Keep your things secure and close if you choose to sleep. I realize this is common knowledge, but I can't stress enough the importance to losing focus on your things. Most filipinos are honest, hardworking people, but survival is survival especially in manila where many have it very tough.

Stay smart, you'll have a great time. And sleep at NAIA no problem.

My wife and I also spent the 5 hours between landing at midnight and flying to Cagayan de Oro the next morning. No problems, we just kept everything on a cart close to us all the time. I didn't sleep much, so I was able to keep an eye on everything.

(Plus I kept the strap from the top bag wrapped around my arm so I could tell if someone tried to move anything.)

you might be able to sleep there, b sure to be there 3 hours before flight, i miss mine and had to stay another week and spend another grand, in order to get inside the airport d security will ask for your airplane ticket and passport or you wont be allowed in the buildind, so make sure you have that in hand

Sure you can.

If you want to be safe, Check in early so you will be in the terminal you are suppose to be. Tell the guard about your situation I know they will understand it. But I don't think you will be able to sleep that good since people there comes and go so its really noisy. Why not rent a room for a night in one of the nearest Motel in the area for Php300 a night and if you are scared you will sleep through your flight time, sched a wake up call then ask the reception to call you for taxi.

Good luck and welcome to the USA!
