My fiance had his interview in Casa this morning, but I am a little confused and wondering if anyone else had a similar situation  . I don't have all the details yet because I am at work but I will see if I can get more from him later. He said the interview went well and they asked him a lot of detailed questions, but did not give him much of a hard time. In the end they gave him slip of paper without anything but his name and interview date on it and told him they would contact him. They did keep all of his paperwork, pictures and his passport. Does this mean they are reviewing his evidence, AP, second interview??? Not sure if I should email the embassy myself to inquire...or if I should just wait and see...

This whole thing is soooo stressful!! It is making me crazy not to know....

You can call them during their 3-4pm call times, or email them.

Ask them for results of the interview - get it straight from them.

With CASA, I've found the more involved the USC is, and the more contact you have with CASA, the better.

Good Luck. Keep us posted.

Here's the contact info for Casa, on the off chance you don't already have it.

Thank you! I am going to email them now and try to call later as well...I was just worried that if I bugged them already that they would get annoyed and throw us to the bottom of the pile!

I think with Casa, the more on top of things you are, the better.

Also, ask your fiance to scan and email you the paper asap so you know what it says exactly. If they're requesting a second interview, review of documents, etc, you can always send them a thank you email along with a very gracious - if there is anything else you need, we can provide it, etc,...

I feel a little better now...I emailed the embassy and they actually responded within an hour. They told me that my fiance's case "requires additional administrative processing. We will notify him once the processing is complete" So, I feel a little more positive...hopefully just a little time in AP. Until then, I will just keep praying!

Atleast they kept his passport....that should be a good sign. But just know, you never know with Casa. We were told we were in AP also, and then called in for a 2nd interview & refused. So it can go either way. Keep your hopes up and stay on top of the embassy. I always got the most information when I called. And your senator or congressman may be able to help also. Best of luck to you and your fiance.

Thank you. I am thrilled that they kept the passport, but as I have seen with Casa it can still go either way. I am going to give them until Wednesday then start calling. I don't want to overdo it and have them give him a hard time. I just hate the waiting games. Hopefully we hear something soon. Until then I will just keep praying.

Thanks,

Jackie

I wouldn't wait....just asking the results shouldn't cause problems...and that way you know what they are doing with it. Cuz I know sometimes APs can be sent back to the US (correct me if i'm wrong ppl)...so its best to keep it in the embassy if u can, if they are considering that. And they may tell your senator or congressman more than they tell u. Can't hurt to have them on board either way. I regret not contacting mine right after the 1st interview. I say, better to be safe, then sorry :)

Good Point! I am faxing my congressman right now to see if he can make an inquiry for me. I guess it can't hurt.

Thanks for the positive thoughts too Sarah. I am hopeful that we hear something quickly. Hopefully you hear something soon too!...the waiting is so difficult. Or maybe I am just way too impatient. :)

I will keep you all posted!

Jackie
