All K1's don't get authorization to work immediately upon arrival for 90 days? I know some POE's give them an EAD stamp. Anyways I've already spoken to HG in PM before this when he was asking about getting the social security card and he said he had the 90 day EAD stamp. Whether he got the EAD at POE or not he will still need the 1-year EAD to work after the 90 days on his I-94.

The stamp is no longer used for authorization for K1's regardless if they stamp it or not. Adding - there is a pinned thread in the EAD forum on this topic!

I see so K1's can't work until they marry and apply for AOS. I found this thread. With VJ changes and immigration changes I haven't found the EAD thread. Maybe you could be so kind and link it here?

Yup that's the pinned thread. There are many on the subject - but that one is the easiest to find and isn't 100 pages long

Yup gonna have to be really creative as far as working goes. Nobody called back from the volunteer center for my hubby either and we signed him up for several things! Must be competition there too :( Anyhow, college courses are going to be the solution for him. Maybe by the time he is done, he will have found work and if not-new college grads have a better chance of getting a job after graduation...in the meantime he's still looking.

I came across this program and thought I'd give it a try. I liked it cuz it makes me money and helps people pursue physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. I figured anything that can help me get through this visa process sounds good to me :) They provide free support, training, and tools....free is always good  Let me know if you're interested in giving it a try or have any questions.
