The I-129F gets a cover letter. But the I-130 does not? Would it help/hurt to include one, with table of contents like the I-129F?

For CR-1 Process:

09.04.06 - NOA-1 received in the mail from CSC

Also, the I-129F gets sent to the Chicago Lockbox. The example cover letter directs me to include the address of my service center. Does this refer to the Chicago location, or to the "home" Service center used to process the I-130?

I only ask because I figured if everybody sends the form to the same place (Chicago), the example form might have had the address already filled in. Thanks.

The instructions I had said to include a coverletter with both the I130 and I129... that's what I did.

Cover letters are not necessary, but if you do write one do not use it to provide additional information that you consider to be important in the review of the petition or application - rather, include the information in an attachment or supporting document to the petition or application. The cover letter is going to be discarded by the clerk who checks the submission for completeness and creates the case file. The case officer is never going to see it.
