Question about RFE

Hello guys!

I am new to this forum and already have a question ;)

We have just received a notice letter about a RFE. Wasn't a big deal, got the response ready, wrote a really short note that we have included the documents asked for, also the letter we have received, they wanted that back, too, and send it the same day we received it. Now the question....we forgot to include our case number... :ranting: the notice only included my husbands (petitioner) and my name (beneficiary), no case number. All they asked for was the documents and that we should include the letter they send us in our response.

Now I am wondering if sending them an E-mail explaining the "problem" and giving them the case number will help them out or not...?!?!

Can someone give me a hint what to do or not to do?!

  • March 2007 we first met
  • 09-26-2009 married <3
  • 05-19-2010 filed I-130 DCF
  • 07-10-2010 RFE...duh
  • 07-10-2010 sent back required document
  • 07-28-2010 Interview - approved :)
  • 07-30-2010 sent in missing document

If you sent back the RFE letter with your response, they have all the info they need

YMMV

That's what I did. The copies of the documents they wanted, the letter they wrote us and this short note saying we sent what we sent lol

So you're saying it's all good? :)

Would be great, bc my love is leaving in 2 months and of course I'd like to follow him ASAP :)

If they had more documents etc. to ask for they had included that in this RFE, right?

It is unusual to receive multiple RFE's, but anything is possible

YMMV

Yea, who knows... All they wanted was a copy of my husbands orders and ID to see he's eligible to file for me here, so I'm hoping for another letter really really soon. This time no RFE, but an invitation for my interview. :)

As this is already a post i just want to quickly hijack it, so apologies in advance.

We are waiting for the RFE anyday now - our processing date at the Lonodn embassy was on the 7th July, so we expect it soon. We have everything ready to go but want to clarify a couple of things:

1. Does it matter if the affidavits of a bonafide marriage are dated before they requested them (or are we just too eager to get it all sorted).

2. The affidavit they request from us - is it a singular or joint affidavit?

Thanks for your help.

3rd January 2010 - S asked P to marry him in NY she said yes

8th May 2010 - married in London at Morden Park House

20th May - sent in I-130

22nd July - I-130 Approved

24th July - Packet 3 received

31st August - Medical

Umm... I thought I just posted something, but it's gone now, so here we go again...

I don't know about your first question, but the affidavit of support is filed by the petitioner only, to make sure he/she can take care of you financially...

Can't believe how fast you're already getting some sort of notice from them. We filed mid May and received ours Saturday...they received our reply today, so I hope everything is going really fast now. We're pcsing in September and I want to leave together with my husband so bad. He's been gone so much this year already :( It's just not the same when he is not home!!!
