No it doesn't - that judgment is made on how a person behaves towards others on a general day to day basis, and passing fire and brimstone judgment on people (as Dr Laura does) seems to be to be the antithesis of what christianity is about. It is however, not too dissimilar to old testament judaism.

I don't claim to be a god lover... and am certainly far from perfect... but I have found more vitriol pouring forth from god lovers than from athiests or agnostics...

I would also like to know how you plan to prove events that the bible claims took place... and yes I have read the bible quite a number of times... so am very well well aware of such matters.

Please do tell me how you plan to prove that god made the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th... also would love to know how you can prove the theory of creationism.

In fairness, it would be wrong to suggest that the Bible is without historical basis. It is first and foremost a history of the Israelites, and it is backed up by say, roman records that validate Jesus' existence for example, the places in the old testament are (were) real places - Jericho, Sodom, Gomorrah.

As for Genesis, it is impossible to prove. Simply can't be done, at least not in a way that is commensurate with conventional reason. But as has been suggested by others, it doesn't need to.

I think you'll find that instead of laughing at her, I was pointing out that "circle" and "flat" are not mutually exclusive concepts. I'll definitely expand that to include "round" and "flat" as well.

As for the definitions of 'chuwg'....this lexicon (located here) definitely agrees with you....although I'll still claim that any of the definitions have to be stretched pretty far to get from 'circle' to 'sphere'. They'll support 'round', but I'll stick by my earlier claim that round and flat aren't mutually exclusive.
