Well Missy, i have to say its a lot better so far than yesterday. Thanks for your prayers and support.....just I wanted you to know that again, I know I have said that to u before, but i will keep saying it because 1), you are a lovely person, 2) I mean it sincerely, and 3), I'm glad we have ' met ' .

I'm wishing you a good day, a PEACEFULL day, and have a ME day when you get off of work. (F)(F)(F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I have a three-day weekend this weekend. We have our annual family get-away to the White Mountains in NH. It's always a fun time! I'm really bummed though because Wadi won't be coming with us. He 's scheduled to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, and we need the money, and also don't want to risk his job seeing that he's already had to take some time off and it's been difficult for him to find work. I know it's important for him to keep working and contributing, but I'm just so disappointed he can't come. :crying:

Today is Friday! Yay!

My co-worker is having her baby today. We're all really anxious for her, because 4 years ago with her first pregnancy, she lost her baby 2 weeks before her due date, and she and her husband have had problems getting pregnant ever since. They had given up trying, when she found out she was pregnant! We've all been watching her like a hawk, making sure she's ok, and today's the day she's scheduled to deliver. Please say some prayers for her if you can.

I'm going to go by the hospital this afternoon to see her, and then hopefully tonight will be a vegging out night at home. The past 3 weekeneds have been stuffed full of things to do, so it will be SO nice to hang out. My parents are going out of town, so we're dog-sitting. We may take my doggie and my parents' dogs to the park nearby. There's also some pick-up soccer games out there, so maybe Amed can join in and meet some friends.

He gets along well with everyone, and hangs out from time to time with my best friend's new husband, but they're moving out of state, and he doesn't have any other guy friends here yet. He spends a lot of time with my dad, but I'd like for him to be able to make some friends here, you know?

I hope everyone has a terrific Friday and a wonderful weekend!

Oh I hate Friday mornings! It means I have to go to work and stay here until 6pm! 10 hours! But the good thing is that Adil and I are going on our "honeymoon" tomorrow bright and early! We are driving down to Virginia Beach and staying the night and driving back on Sunday evening. We're going to visit one of his friends who came to our wedding. He's getting us the hotel room as our wedding gift. Sounds good to me. It should be a fun weekend. I just have to make it through today. I wish my work had a lot more windows. Hey, thanks Jabree. Congratulations on your "touch"!

We're supposed to find out today if we work more 10-hour shifts next week. Frankly, even though the extra money is nice, it's getting old. A week of 8-hour shifts will feel like vacation.

Everyone has been kind of quiet about the events in London yesterday. I have to admit, it's really bothered me. And did they ever find the Egyptian students who have "disappeared"? Mohammed is just fuming over that.

Today is dragging. J9Melihi I hear you about the windows. I work on the 1st floor which is really mostly below ground and can never see what's going on outside. Maybe that's a good thing. Today I would just want to sit and dream about tomorrow. Ha Ha.

Grrrrr... Has anyone heard from Amy?

Well I didn't quite know what to say about the London situation. I really only heard a few things about it. I went on CNN.com this morning. I tell you. Sooner or later we wont be able to take anything on the plane, and we'll have to be strip searched. I think it's a good idea though about the liquids. I always wondered when they would find a way to use the liquid form. I know that when I went through the Wichita, KS airport over the new year, they asked me to take a drink from my water bottle. Go figure. But i am surprised that all of this has happened. Now I am glad that Adil didn't have to return home. It would have been one of the past few days that he would have left here. I just don't understand why people would feel the need to blow up a plane and murder so many innocent lives. No matter what religion you follow, I think that we need to learn that war and killing people isn't going to prove or stop anything. It will just make matters worse.

I'm just going to keep praying for all the lost souls!

I wasn't sure abt what to say abt the London incident... my bro-in-law (sister's hubby) was on one of those planes and got detained... when they were finally able to fly, his plane was escorted by air marshals carrying guns. They then had to stay overnite in Boston before he could finally go home to NY. He arrived safely this morning - alhamdoulillah! :star:

People never cease to amaze me w/ the amount of hatred that brews inside them...

Grrrrr... Has anyone heard from Amy?

I'm here, I'm here! :P I sent you an email in the wee hours of the morning, but as tired as I was I may have forget to hit "send!"

Khallid got to Kansas City at 1:15 am. His original flight was to be in at 11:35 pm. What a trip he has had! Basically the airlines took the one little bag he was carrying on the plane with him which has 1 pair of clean clothes. Then everything started happening with the cancellation of his flights due to the issues in London. I will add that Iberia Airlines that he was flying on was one of the suspected airlines that was going to be involved in the plotted attacks we have been hearing about. Khallid really didn't know what was going on till I told him last night when he got here. I keep thinking how lucky we are and am really thinking God that those flights were cancelled.

Got home around 4:30ish and Khallid crashed. He said he hasn't been able to sleep since starting his trip on Tuesday. Now he is snoring LOUD behind me. Shush....don't tell him I told you. I'm letting him sleep all day and I'm going to try to catch a few zzzzzzz's here and there. I still don't beleive he's here. I just sat and stared at him when I woke up this morning.

He said Chicago was a ###### for a POE! I always heard how easy it was, but I'm sure they stepped up security due to the recent events. He was intorrogated by 2 people at separate times. Demanded to see my pictures, asked him if HE was rich or if I was. Don't I wish. But he's here now, so everything that happened is in the past.

And darn it.........they took they perfumes & oils he bought for me and my family. :crying:

I'm off work for the next 10 days. Hoping to get him settled in a bit, apply for his social, get a few things for him, etc.

Still can't beleive this sound I hear behind me is my man!!!!!
