Hello VJ-ers!

I recently became a naturalized US citizen and was wondering what is the process of petitioning a parent?

Can I file for my dad only and not for my mom? My dad is already in US.. has been here since 2003 on H1B visa that has recently expired. Is that going to be a problem?

I know i need to file I-130 and I-485, any other forms? What documents do i need to send along with the application? How long does the process take and is there an interview? My dad lives in another state so if there is one, do I need to attend the interview?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

05/05/10 Interview letter received

06/17/10 Interview

06/28/10 Oath Ceremony. I am a U.S Citizen!!!
