Hello, everyone.I don't even know where to start from.We filed in March, got RFE on 05.28.The status on the website hasn't changed since 06.09 stating they received our response for RFE.Today I received by the post a letter from the US embassy in Sofia stating the petition has been approved and they can start the process for the visa.We never got NOA 2 or any notification ever, not on the website or by the post we never knew if the petition was ever sent to the NVC or anything.I don't know what to do or think???Is that even possible?Does that really mean we have been approved???Can I be happy now? What should we do about the NOA2??? Has anyone ever had such experience?Any advice??

thank you

are you sure you have not received a notification from the USCIS or NVC? all cases absolutely all, going through the NVC and they will send your case to the embassy. The NVC will send you a letter indicating the new case number

We can all make a difference. Please recycle

I can´t believe it   you can call to the embassy and try to find out what is going on with your case

Most consulates do not accept phone inquiries anymore... NVC is the place to call or DoS...

i would call DOS or NVC. they can also tell you how to request a copy of your NOA2 because you'll need it for the interview. unfortunately i think they make you pay a fee for it but maybe if you explain that you never received it

i think you can be happy ^_^

best of luck to you

Vermont has been pushing through cases pretty quickly due to the fact that they have unloaded tons of applications to the Texas office, one poster stated that if you applied after May then it was most likely sent to Texas (due to backlogs at Vermont)...I got text stating 129 approval only after 23 days....maybe the transition has somethingto do with it?..since I noticed that you filed in Vermont....??

We have a similar situation, and as far as I can tell, everything is okay.

When we submitted the I-129F, I didn't hear anything for a month. I called USCIS and was told that everything was fine, they received it and they're working on it, but when they tried to send me the NOA1 the letter was returned as undeliverable; they didn't have my address entered correctly. I gave them a new mailing address (my parents house) and requested a dupliate NOA1. They sent that (and eventually, the NOA2) to the right mailing address.

Soon after, she received the packet from the embassy but I never received the letter from NVC. As it turned out, NVC didn't have the corrected address on file and when they asked me my mailing and email addresses, it was pretty mangled (data entry error most likely). I updated the NVC with the right information, to keep everything tidy, but the important thing was that they had already forwarded the case to the Oslo embassy and all was well.

Long story short, call the NVC and check the information they have on file. If the embassy received the information then the process proceeded that far but you'll definitely want to make sure everything is correct.
