I'm getting ready to file for Removal of Conditions, I'd appreciate your help with the following:

1) Our close friends are all Hispanic, we have american friends we see just ocassionally; is it possible to have our permanent-resident hispanic friends sign an affidavit or do the signers have to be American citizens?

2) Affidavits are not listed among the items needed to prove bona-fide relationship (http://www.visajourney.com/content/751guide) are they then necessary? we have abundant proof of every possible avenue relative to our relationship (deeds, banks, insurance, 401K's, etc).

3) I've amassed a large amount of information, but do I need to file banks statements for every month for say the past year or will one statement suffice?

4) Finally, it seems processing times have gotten more prolonged since the last time I checked, it used to be three months (or less) now it seems like six months !! can anyone with recent actual experience comment?

thanks

Hi,

1,2) Affidavits are suggested and not required, if you feel you have enough evidence, you can leave them out. You, however, have a good point of whether USCs or LPRs can provide an affidavit.

3) It is suggested to mail in a statement every 3 to 4 months and not each month. Sending in the last statement is not enough - they need to see that both names were on the account since you have been married and granted the GC.

4) You can check the filers list threads that are available here. Members add their information to the list each month and it is generally a much better method of tracking. It also depends on the service center you are mailing your application to. Check it out and let us know if you have more questions.
