Cool!...remember to update your timeline so it will give others indication if they are still shipping to TX (information especially helpful to folks who have yet to submit) good luck!

I will as soon as I get the NOA1. Since I mailed to Vermont I'm assuming it might be a while since they must have sent it to TX. I paid by money order so I can't verify by cancelled check. Not knowing whats going on is the worse feeling in the world.

I think it's just all about everyone's luck. We waited for NOA2 for 6 months and 12 days. Our lawyer advised us to wait and wait and wait. My fiance finally called and explained that people, I am getting deployed in 3 months!!! Operator was very friendly and helpful and we got NOA2 approved online the next day!!!! We shouldn't have waited and just called after 5th month has passed. :(

18th March 2010- Application is accepted

23rd March 2010- Touched....

30th September 2010- Approved at USCIS Vermont

5th October 2010- Case was received at NVC

7th October 2010- Hard Copy NOA2

28th October 2010- Embassy received our case (US Embassy in Bangkok)

5th November 2010- Got Packet 3 from the Embassy

Sent my I-129 today, after I obsessively checked all the paperwork, sealed the envelope and reopened it to check it one more time.

Hopefully TX keep's up with their workload !

Here's to hoping.

P.S This website has been very helpful. Thx a lot.

No updates other than i got a touch on the 3rd of October. I would gladly volunteer for a deployment if if meant it would speed this up.

I don't want to start a fight, so I hesitated posting this, but I honestly find that statement very disrespectful. I think if the wives or children or loved ones of deployed soldiers were asked, they would take waiting apart for several months, versus having their husband or father or loved one in a war torn country. Men and women that are deployed are fighting for their countries.

I have a childhood friend whose cousin was killed in Afghanistan, as part of the Canadian armed forces. I think he would have rather waited apart a few months from his family than be killed in combat. My cousin is part of the Peace Corps. My sister and brother-in-law-to-be are both part of the army. My grandfather fought for his country in WW2 over in the Netherlands.

I'm not saying this waiting process is easy, because it's not. My fiance and I have been together almost 3 years now, and yeah, we're tiring of being apart and seeing each other sporadically. It's hard on everyone.

Maybe I'm taking it to heart, but I think we should all have a great deal of respect for those who risk their lives for our freedom and life as we know it.

Just my two cents.

No offense taken.....but I am in the military and have been "over there" twice already. Once in Afghanistan and once in Iraq. Granted, i have been in relatively safe places each time due to the nature of my job. The majority of us that serve don't see it as that big of a deal, it is our job. More than likely i will be having to go back again in the near future. So yes I would rather get orders now...accelerate my timeline and have my baby getting here as soon as I get back, rather than have her get here and I have to leave after she arrives. That is all that was meant by my post.

Levi doesn't have orders yet. Well, you know how it's done in the Army. He just called and explained situation. In the files it says anyway where he is stationed and that he is really in the Army. I think we lucked out of having an understanding operator, because when Levi called before to supposedly Help Line for Military few months ago- it was just waste of time. So maybe for you it is worth the shot to call and ask for speeding your case up. But honestly, I think it is better for her to see you before you deploy. That's why Levi is coming to visit us in Thailand in November. :) I agree with CBM on that one, I dread the day when Levi gets deployed and I'd rather wait for extra 1 or 2 years. :( Good luck and God bless!!!

Well honestly my original post was very light-hearted....

And next month we are both heading to Thailand for some much needed time together...things have been not so good the last couple months.
