They received my petition on June 18th. NOA1 was June 22nd and I just received NOA2 today dated July 2nd. I was expecting a couple months, so this was a big surprise.

It seems so unfair that Vermont has not processed the petitions in the order they were received. It's very hard to log in on this forum and see people with NOA1 dates in June recieving NOA2 in July. We received our NOA1 3/18/10 and our file status still shows as "under review" Is 115 days and counting normal?

I hear ya...and just because we were lucky to get this part done quickly....who knows how the rest of our paperworks goes...we both love to travel and I heard that the travel voucher can take a couple of months to clear...which sucks..but over 100 days seems long...did you get a RFE?

No RFE (yet), USCIS website states online status as "under review" and last and only time it shows case being updated is 3/23/10. I was told calling the USCIS is a waste if your still within 5 months. I am happy for you that your NOA2 was speedy, just wish mine wasn't taking so long. What really stinks for us is the consulate my fiance will be assigned to for the interview (Montreal) I heard is VERY slow to schedule the interview (4-6 motnhs)

I was in the same boat last week:

We sent in our i-129f forms on 3/30/10. USCIS received 4/2/10. We received NOA1 in the mail on 4/6/10 dated 4/2/10. The USCIS website showed 'Acceptance' and then a few days later it showed 'Initial Review'. It stayed like that for two months. No touches or updates. I called twice (6/2/10 and 7/2/10)and spoke to a Customer Service agent but got no new information. I finally called one more time, on 7/2/10, exactly 90 days from the day i received the NOA1. The Customer Service agent did not give me any information and said that they were still within their timeline of 5 months. Very frustrating, but i waited. I read a thread here on visajourney that said applications sent to Vermont after May 15th were being sent to Texas for processing, and applications prior to May 15th were being processed in Vermont. Those people that received approvals in 30 days were just lucky. Instead of prioritizing applications, Texas just processed whomever they picked up first. Not very fair at all. Finally, I was on the internet Sunday morning and went to the USCIS site and the status had changed to 'Post-Decision Activity' and said we were approved on 7/9/10. It was a total of 98 days from when I received the NOA1. Believe me, I was getting very angry every time i saw someone getting approval when they sent their application in 60 days after me! I understand every case is different, but it really isn't fair that some have to wait so long. If there is an RFE, then they should let you know right away.

You will get it this week. They are just slacking off. They are processing the people who sent in applications around 3 months ago now it seems.

I just got an email and text message from USCIS that my case has been approved. It was exactly 21 days since VSC received my package but it was processed in Texas so they are going really fast. Good luck to everyone that still waiting for the NOA2. Now come the wait with NVC.

You can click on my timeline it is up to date. Application was sent on June 16, recieved in VSC June 18 and fowarded to Texas June 21. My NOA was dated June 22 and the last touch was June 30.

just sent ours to VSC yesterday. so i'll provide stats as well. would be nice to be able to provide a quick timeframe to those who want/need it. if ours goes too quickly, we'll have to delay it by not sending in paperwork after NOA2 for a little bit. she is moving at the end of october to another country and we need her interview, etc at the new location.

Congrats!...wowza..the Vermonth-Texas transfer was a stroke of good luck and accidental timing!...we got a notice from NVC that they have our stuff and will be shooting it to Oslo embassy within a week!...Oslo is super fast for interviews thank goodness!
