I keep voting Democrat in California because they stock Coke Zero in their vending machines. No sugar, but a taste that gives me the illusion that I'm drinking the full fat version.

I wiegh roughly 260 at 5'10 I am obese.

I look at myself and see I am fat not obese.

Not to insult anyone else but an obese person imo is someone that is unable to function normally in daily activities that an average person would do because of their weight condition; whether they accept the responsibility or not.

A person who chooses to mask the truth and not accept what is really responsible may fall into that category you are speaking of but to lable all fat/obese people to fall into that category is wrong.

Obesity is a clinical definition, you cant very well deny that you are obese by trying to change the meaning of the word.

As stated before I perform everday activities like any normal person lable eme if you want but when we both are 90 I will ask if you want some bacon or if you will stick to the puree you will be eating

Clinical definition or not I do not have mental problems nor do I blame a compnay producing the foods I eat or drink as a problem.

but again most people who feel they have the best plan to health are the ones I see and read about with the health problems. Where as the fat people are labled fat and not appealing in appearance typically begin to slow down and not do as much as they get older.

I never said that, why you feel the need to take one tiny piece of my point and throw it back, I have no idea.

While a racial slur cannot be compared to calling someone 'fatty', because it does not (obviously) have the same connotation - I was talking about on an individual level. I am talking about an individual being hurt by someone elses meanness and ignorance. Whether that is because of a racial slur, calling someone another name - based on them being different from you, or what you consider 'normal' - it's no different in my book. Both hurt a person and both can be avoided by just showing a little compassion and understanding for other people and their feelings, regardless of what you giggle about when surfing the net.

Rob, you and I will never agree on anything, ever, so let's just leave it at that.

No offense, but you are being very dense about this. To think that on an individual level an insult about someones weight carries the same level of emotional pain as a racial slur is preposterous.
