Okay .. now I am annoyed and frustrated!!

I happened to meet a guy golfing last summer who was in teh same K1 boat as me so we have been comparing notes all along.

I was married in Jan and he in April .. four months apart.

I submitted my AOS on 1/13/10 .. he in mid to late April.

We were both transferred to CA. Ours in Feb and his .. well .. May I guess.

I CANNOT BELIEVE HIS GC IS IN PRODUCTION AND MY USCIS ROCORD STILL SHOWES TRANFERRED IN FEB!!!!!!

Any thoughts on this? What should we do? Seems like it is way too much time for us let alone the short time they had to wait.

Something doesn't seem right though I do see in the AOS timeline there is a bunch of transfers in Feb. that are still waiting.

You are not alone, Specially the February Filers..

It has been a big delay in the month of February.. not sure if the issuing of the new GC has something to do but this month has a big delay [CSC].. I know it doesn't answer your question..

One More Thing.. Dont go based on the USCIS website.. is useless.. My wife didnt get updates on the AP and EAD, she got her GC and after that her AP and EAD and the system still shows Intial Review on teh AP and EAD

Ya .. all I am going on is that other people that have had transfers to CSC not all that long ago are getting GCs ... Did they lose the box with the Feb files???

Make ZERO sense really!! A month or two yes .. but four months is indicative of a problem really.

Also, I have seen AP and EAD status on USCIS not up in sync with actual happenings. I do know my friends USCIS is accurate and he is now awaiting his wives GC. Mine is stuck on transfer date.

I would think you would be happy for your friend....

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Hi!

Regular Time Frame in AED Approval is 3 Months, & To AOS Approval Is 4 Months, This is according to USCIS.GOV Processing Time, I Guess YOU need to Act now. Good LUCK.

I wouldn't over-analyze it too much - I too have a similar friend whose wife got her GC way ahead of us,

while they applied for AOS only about a week before we did. They were transferred to Calif. but we will

have our interview on July 20. His wife got the GC in mid-June. I have no way to explain why one

case gets pushed ahead and another gets dragged behind. Our K-1 was approved in record time,

but we waited to file for AOS. In your case you lost no time at all but go figure....
