Although the IO told us we were approved, it has been a week now and still no touch on my case status... no mail, nothing. I am guessing each IO has to do a final review, submit papers and then fingers crossed... I will get my approval notice and then card production....

All that questioning about terrorism,etc.. we all go thru that during the interview. While some IOs do seem more thorough than others, I think its also our own personal intensity and our own personal perception of the experience that contributes to the "difficulty" factor of the interview.

Sorry that you havent received any news about your greencard yet. Yours has been only 1 week. We havent received anyhting from USCIS in 5 weeks. Very frustrating. I had my interview with LilMermaid and shakira008 and they have already received their greencards last month. I guess hopefully we should receive something soon. I have already made an info-pass appointment because my husband is traveling next month.

Goodluck to you too BULLWINKLE. Quick question: Can my husband still travel with the AP after his interview? I even got my senator involved. Just a wreck right now. The immigration officer took my husbands I-94. Could that be a good thing as well?

You should make an info pass and at the same time they may even stamp your passport with a temporary greencard like my husbands. That why if you need it for any reason you have proof on your passport.

Have you still heard nothing? I think our interview was pretty close to yours and we're both in Dallas... we got a "Congratulations on Receiving Permanent Resident Status" letter on 11DEC10, two days after our interview on the 9th. It was addressed from the Irving office.

Other than that, we haven't had anything either. No touches on the case, no other mail... I'm not even sure if this is the "welcome letter" other people reference. It didn't look much like anything else we've received from USCIS (printed on normal printer paper instead of the fancy green stuff, etc.).

Hope your case has been updated since you last posted and that we're ALL through this very soon!

Hope everyone has had a very happy holiday season! On Christmas morning there was a letter in thr mailbox.... my "Welcome to America" letter. It felt like such a blessing and was a fantastic "gift"! Santa is amazing... lol! Just waiting for my GC now and looking forward to heading to Canada in the next 2 months for a visit :)

They're working on July applications for sure, i got mine approved yesterday (from CSC, no interview)!!!
