Yesterday i was so mad, waiting all day for my EAD to be approved after my biometrics, i really thought USCIS was still screwing me over. BUT!!! This morning, i got the text and the email, EAD card production!!!!!!!! Finally i can stop being a couch potato and start working and paying off my loans!! what a relief :dance:

BULLWINKLE, i hope your interview goes well!! Without you, i'd still be waiting for my biometrics to come! You're my Heroe!! :lol:

Congrats! I knew you'd get it today :)

Husbands interview was November 9th. No case updates, no touches, NOTHING! Called USCIS and they don't see anything on the system. We haven't received any Welcome to America letter yet either. Should I be worried? She said that we should be receiving something in the next few weeks but she wasn't specific. Then again she said that he saw no reason why our petition should not be approved. Just confused. What should I do?

Have you heard anything yet? I would think you'd be getting an email at least by now :(

I haven't heard anything yet LiLMermaid. I dont know whats going on and Im a little worried. I will give it to after the holidays. She said that we should be receiving something in the next few weeks and she had no reason not to approve my husband for the greencard. I guess we will have to wait and see.

YAH! My driver's license finally came yesterday!

I went to get my license right after we went to the interview last week....my hubby had to get a new card too so we waited. Well they printed him a new license on the spot and gave me this letter sized green paper as my temp license and took my Canadian license. At the interview they took my EAD. So there I was with no picture ID. I have my passport of course but it has a different name on it. Blah...anyways....glad to have a picture ID again with my proper name :)

It has been almost 4 months since i sent my AOS papers and still no GC !!

And the last update was on 10/15/2010 .I hope that i will hear good news soon .

I got my AP and EAD .I bought a car a few weeks ago and i have a DL .Still looking for a job !

It's funny because when I went to the Social Security office, I gave my Texas DL as my ID. The lady asked how I got that.. and I said I traded in my Canadian DL for it, using my student visa. She said that the DMV should not have accepted it! She also said that I shouldnt be able to get my TX DL until I get my GC. I think that's all a load of crock.. but anyway.. I'm so glad things are moving along for you now... once the EAD comes you start to feel more human! :)

Im kind of depressed and confused. Still havent received any update from USCIS nor a welcome letter. Well I went through the USCIS review section for Baltimore,Maryland and it looks like everyone that has been through there has received there green card within a month. That kind of sucks but all we can do is wait.

Hello Nwanyioma!....Did the IO give you anything like a print-out that your "approved", or any stamp on your passport? During our Interview, our IO gave us a print-out that we are approved, and he did stamped our passport in case we will travel....And also, based from the day of your Interview, you should already received a "welcome letter" just ours to welcome you as a permanent resident. Can u call USCIS? just to update your case, might they can give you answer. Don't worry, maybe its just delay.......Just my 2 cents.

Thanks shakira08 for your concern and Congratulations on receiving your 10 year greencard. I contacted USCIS sometime last week, and there was no update on their systems end. I didnt receive a printout not was my husband's passport stamped either. The IO just said that we were approved and that we should be receiving something in the mail within a couple of weeks. She briefed us on Removal of Condition and the Naturalization process and thats pretty much it. I read the USCIS reviews in Baltimore, and most of the received their greencard 3-4 weeks after their approvals (the latest i saw was about 6 months). So all we can do is just wait.
