I agree it does seem so quiet on the July 2010 AOS filers. My husbands interview is on Tuesday and I cant wait for it to be over with. I just want to thank all of you for all of your help and support for the past 3-4 months. I hope to see all of you soon at the Removal of Conditions form 2012 :):):) .

Good luck! I haven't been around much...I've just been doing my best to forget about it but now the time is near so I figured I'd drop by and see how everybody was doing :)

There was no change... our last touch was 26 October 2010, which was the first time it had been touched since August. So basically, one touch for the I-485 after biometrics was completed and we had the interview notice a day under two weeks later. Hope that helps!

Thanks, for responding. We received our interview notice today. The interview is set for November 10, I believe we go the day after you go... Now I have to start preparing everything for the interview...

We were approved!!!!:dance::dance::dance: We arrived in Baltimore, Maryland exactly 10:00 am. Our interview was scheduled for 11am. Only to realize that we forgot our marriage certificate at home. We quickly went back home came back and arrived at 11:08am (I was speeding). We went through security, who escorted us to room 103. We checked in at the front desk and the receptionist told us to listen for our name to be called. We waited for about 10 mins, and a young white lady called my husbands name. We said Good Morning to her because she really didnt look so friendly. Before we can sit down we were sworn in. Funny enough I was the one be intervied the most. These were the questions she asked:

Whats your husbands mother and fathers name?

What is his Date of Birth?

Where was he born?

Where do you work?

How did you meet? she asked the both of us

She asked my husband for my date of birth?

Do we have any children?

Have we ever been married before?

She asked my husband what my parents do for a living

Asked me where my husband was working prior to coming to the US?

Has his parents visited USA?

Asked us many random questions. She was correlating the information we put on our AOS application. Towards the end she asked my husband the criminal questionaire on the end of the AOS application. She said that we should be receiving something in the mail in a few weeks. That she doesnt see anything wrong with approving this application!!!! Our interview chatted and gisted with the both of us. We made her laugh so many times. She was ok.

I received my greencard in the mail yesterday.

A great relief to be done with the immigration process for a while now.

Despite the stress that the process has involved, overal, for me and my husband, I have to say that it's been thankfully pretty straightforwards.

Congrats to the recent approvals :)

We had our interview this morning and were approved. The wait was short...they basically read through the questions that are on the AOS application. He didn't ask my husband (petitioner) anything. Didn't ask to see anything at all except my SSN which wasn't on the AOS form because I hadn't gotten it yet. Stamped my passport and the kids passports and that was it. Never asked for ANY proof whatsoever. Not a lease, bank statement...nothing. It was very anticlimactic after everything we went through to get here. He did say that the ROC interview will be harder...IF we have to go to one, not everyone does.

Cya all in August 2012 ...I'm eligible to send it in on Aug 11 so it'll be hitting the mail on the 12th...just in case;)

Good luck to all still waiting and may everyone have this part of the journey over with very soon.

God Bless!

HIM: One nice one and 4 as*hole ones

ME: What are their names?

HIM: Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3, Thing 4 and a MooMoo (her nickname)

Ours was very anticlimatic as well. After a month of getting my wife's name added to every bill, bank statement, lease, etc and pulling together all the documents, the IO didnt ask to see a single thing, other than passport, birth & marriage certificates. Congratulations to all recent approvals!!

It'll come fast now that you finally got your biometrics done. I love vj but some days it really blows watching others getting approved way before you when you filed first :(

All the ones that had to wait an eternity for biometrics seen to all get their EAD's and AP's within a short period of time though. I hope to see all the rest of the July people getting this all over with soon.

Best of luck!

Husbands interview was November 9th. No case updates, no touches, NOTHING! Called USCIS and they don't see anything on the system. We haven't received any Welcome to America letter yet either. Should I be worried? She said that we should be receiving something in the next few weeks but she wasn't specific. Then again she said that he saw no reason why our petition should not be approved. Just confused. What should I do?

Nothing you really can do. They say you should receive something in 30 days so until then they wont do a thing for you. I received my welcome to America letter but not my greencard yet and I interviewed the same day. We are in different parts of the country though so times are going to be different. All you can do is wait at this point.
