Seriously though...go look at the June thread...they are getting August interviews. Yet again...some people that filed earlier (february I think) waited forever and a day. Lets all hope we're all one of the speedy months.

Wow! That's extremely fast. I'll be glad when this part of the application process is done and out of the way, so the sooner the better. However, I do have family coming to visit me in August, so I've actually been hoping that I won't have to deal with anything immigration related until after they've gone back home. I'm kinda getting anxious that my biometrics appointment might end up being scheduled for whilst they are still here -- and since attending the appointment will involve a three hour drive to Kansas City, and a three hour back again, I do hope it doesn't cut into the time I get to spend with my family.

Still though, I am not going to try to reschedule the biometrics appointment if it should fall whilst my family are here. If I'm lucky though, maybe the appointment will end up being a few days or so after they've gone back.

Do you plan on becoming a US Citizen when your 3 years post-green card are up?

I think I probably will. Due to my disability, I am concerned that perhaps it might be difficult for me to attend some of the requirements of becoming a US Citizen, but I would need to look into it first and find out whether it's practical. The idea of having to deal with immigration for the rest of my life isn't a very pleasant one, but I think all in all, it will depend on what would be required to just keep renewing my green card every X years.

My i-485 perm resident is still under acceptance instead of initial review...anyone with their NOA1s have that as well?

yes our I-485 is still under acceptance also... but our I-765 & I-131 our both under initial review :)

Here's a question for the foreign beneficiaries:

Do you plan on becoming a US Citizen when your 3 years post-green card are up?

David plans to do it to get rid of US immigration from his life (although I'm really the one spear-heading most of the effort here...I think he would get too frustrated with the bureaucracy of it all and I'm the nit-picky type when it comes to paperwork. The UK allows for dual citizenship, so no issue there...

I sent on 14th as well and no updates (I had G1145 form attached) but since I used the outdated I-485, I am expecting the form to return to me any day now.

From what i saw in the timelines, it seems to be faster when you have an interview instead of being transfered! I seriously don't know which one of the 2 i prefer right now :P

01/12/2011: GreenCard approved!!!!

Green card expiration date: 01/05/2013
Sent ROC package to VSC: 11/16/2012
NOA1: 11/20/2012

Approval: 04/29/2013!!!!

Yeah you're right about that. I'll take anything I can get as long as it's approved! Mathew wants his EAD so bad he can't stand it. He keeps telling me that the longer engineers are without work the faster they become obsolete.

Yeah that's the most important thing for me too, i graduated as a chiropractor a year ago and i haven't even worked in that profession yet!! I will get the EAD before i'm done with the Board exams but still.. i want to work!!! :blink: Let's hope for quick EAD approvals hihi!

I am so hoping that today will be the day my husband gets his emails! We mailed our package on July 13, and it was received by the post office in Chicago on July 15, and we haven't received anything back in the mail, no check cashed, no emails saying it was safely received. Ugh. A hardcopy would be nice but I know those are always some days after the email comes.

^^ the average day for NOA1s right now is 10 days according to the timeline stats over the last 90 days. Maybe you'll hear something this week! but yes, I got pretty neurotic about it all myself :yes: trying not to get neurotic right now about receiving a biometrics appointment letter soon...
