I had my aos interview yesterday at Detroit. We arrived at the office at 8.30 am and we were called into the office at around 9 am.

The officer asked for any additional proof I have to prove our relationship. I gave him the copy of my auto insurance, life insurance, cell phone bill, joint checking and savings statement, investment account statement and lease agreement.

The officer swore us in after that and our interview started.

Questions to me:

What is my name?

What is my spouse's name?

What is my spuse's date of birth?

What are my spouse's hobbies?

What is her favorite tv show?

Questions to her:

When and where did u get married?

How many people were there in your wedding?

What are your husband's hobbies?

In the end he asked me if I was traveling and placed the approval i551 stamp in my passport. The green card will arrive in 15 days.

Good luck to you all!

Congratulations!!! Good News to hear. How was the interview?

The interview was good, but the officer interviewing us was very serious and straight to the point, They was no shaking hands or saying good morning, me personally thought he was rude... Yes he has a job to do but theys no harm in having of manners too.

Anyways when we got in to the room he swore us in, then proceeded to ask my husband most of the questions .. Is he an american citizen.. about how we met.. he asked me our phone number.. date of our wedding.. when is my birthday.. have i been arrested... deported ect.

The officer also wasnt clear at english so i struggled to understand him and was asking him to repeat him self.. I didnt think that was fare, they expect us to speak proper clear english, so i think they should too.

He asked me if id been depported twice, not sure if he was trying to catch me out or what.. he also was very interested in see our evidence for joint docs, like joint bank account etc, he wasnt at all interested in see pictures of us and our wedding.. i was alittle disapointed, thats was the fun part lol .. anyways he approved us and just told us what we have to do next for removing my conditional status and we left smiling :). We took plenty of evidence and was well prepared and organized.

Awesome interview. Pretty much just like ours. The guy was very serious, no real exchange of pleasantries. And, he really didn't warm up until after he said we were approved. Thats when we were able laugh a little. Congratulations on the approval. It's nice to finally see some more July filers making some headway.

It's definitely great to relax, but for nearly 2 years I've thought about this process daily. It's almost a little sad that we have to wait for so long before we can start on the next phase. I think I must have a mental disorder... haha!

The visa processing and getting to this stage has taken a long time, im definatly not thinking about the next stage untill i have too lol. Time to concentrate on my family and find a job lol and of course destress haha!

We have been very lucky, from start to finish ( well to this stage lol) we havent had any problems with anything, we didnt get a emigration lawyer like some people do, We took it steady and just researched and double checked everything our self. :).

Hello dierathy. I used to live in Fort Washington and according to the zip code there, my ASC was in Alexandria, Va. It was very dead in the place and painless. I've since moved then and I will be interviewing in Baltimore, Md for the greencard. What I know about Baltimore is that you can not do walk ins there for your biometrics appointment. The day that r scheduled is the day you can go. I hope that was helpful.

WOW! Congrats Katleen... very happy for you! Amazing that they printed the biometrics appt letter for you right there and then.. I guess it really does depend on who you get that day. I just scheduled another Infopass appt for next Friday here in Dallas (that was the next available appt!). It may be worthless... but will never know unless I keep trying..

I've tried several times today to schedule an infopass with no luck. I will keep trying... Please let me know how your appointment goes this Friday.
