:thumbs:Yes I sent my AOS package off on July 14,2010 and still no message or anything from USCIS !!!! I hope that i will hear from them soon .

So I called customer service again to bug them, after I saw that August fillers in Salt Lake have no problems getting their biometric letters. That of course, excluded the possibility that my ASC is overwhelmed with applications.

I got a nice lady on the phone that checked and.. she told me I'm on the schedule for the biometrics appointment - somebody was making updates on my case as we were speaking. She mentioned a 20/10 which I assume is the date of my appointment - Octomber 20th. :dance: (I'm not a very good listener when I get excited :bonk: )

Maybe they'll be kind enough to send me an e-mail tomorrow, to let me know to STOP CALLING them! - the bio letter is on it's way :lol:

Fingers crossed for Texas, and all you out there waiting still. Don't be afraid to call them, get transferred, and inquire whether your appointment has been set yet or not.

I can finally ease on calling USCIS... and go back to stalking the postman! :devil:

Still no news for me ! I was wondering do i have to get the Bio letter first before they approve my EAD or AP ? Or its just for the green card ?!!!!

I hope that i will hear good news about that letter .It has been almost 2 months and still no news .

I'm going to Orlando/ FL tomorrow for a honeymoon and i hope when i will come back i will see that letter in my mail box .

yeah i called uscis every blessed day and I wasn't scared of getting cursed out because that their job and thats what i pay taxes for. Here is the number to call uscis 1-800-375-5283. Follow the promps. Press 1, then 2, then 6. Then your call will be transferred to a customer services representative. She will ask you some questions, kindly answer her, and then request for your call to be escalated to an immigration officer. He/She will then ask you about your receipt and etc and he/she will ask you for the reason of your call. Just tell them that you want to know the status of your appication.Simple. Goodluck and All the Best.

Ok VJ'ers.. so here is a question. I just got word that my parents back home and have sold their house. Well of course, like any good kid.. I used my old bedroom as a storage space at their house. I never did apply for AP with my packet.. but now I am in a REAL NEED to get home to help my parents with packing, and to figure out what to do with all of my stuff.. get it down here to Texas, and of course, say good bye to the house that I grew up in :(

I haven't even done biometrics yet and I am worried that my AOS won't get processed within the normal processing times that they report. If AOS was done by November, even December at latest than I should be good with getting back home in time. I don't think I can chance it tho and wait to see what happens. I feel that I need to get my travel and documents sorted now.

Can I apply for AP now? And if I do, what's the chance of a speedy processing procedure? And costs involved now? UGH... FML!!!! :wacko:

If you apply for AP now you'll have to pay the processing fee for it, $385. :( that form is a page long and the easiest thing we've filled out during this whole process and they charge almost 400 for it. Outrageous.

No, actually they won't have to pay the fee all over again because they already filed I-485 just recently.

Check out the instructions on form I-131

As for a speedy process.. on form I-131 you may want to put down a date early October for you to leave the country and include a letter explaining why you would need an 'emergency' AP. It says that you can only put down an expedite request for Refugee Travel Doc and Reentry Permits but I would try it anyways. It won't guarantee any faster processing but go ahead and try!
