Just goes to prove how belated USCIS is about "updating". Crazy.

Still no movement for me. No touches, no bio letter, no nothing. Sigh :(

sdksd. they're insane!

I'm super pleased: my biometrics went well on Tuesday, my AP arrived yesterday, and an email saying they were printing off the EAD was sent my way yesterday (at 5am-!!!). And now the fate of my green card lays in the hands of the California Service Center... I wonder how long it'll be there/what's up with that.

A small note about the biometrics appointment: The fingerprinting lady asked if I had a copy of my marriage certificate (so as to verify my married name); I said no-that I wasn't told to bring it- and she sighed and was like "they should really tell people to bring that in on the appointment letter". Luckily, I had my passport with me, which has the K! visa sticker/my husbands name on said sticker, so she went with that. That said: it's a good idea to bring a copy of your marriage certificate with you.

The weird thing is, when I went for my bio appointment, they didn't ask about seeing the license.

I was expecting them to, so I took it with me just in case. And when no one asked, I asked them instead --- just in case they forgot to ask to see it. The guy looked at me as if I was a bit crazy, and didn't seem to know why on earth he would need to see it.

Still, I think it makes sense to take it along.

We received my husbands AP in the mail today. I still have not heard anything regarding our RFE except that they have received it. I also called today to order a service request for the biometrics appointment. I hope to hear good news soon.

It doesn't have anything to do with K-1... I'm on a K-1 and i got transfered to CSC = 99% of chances of not having an interview.

Questions for those who asked for a service request for their Biometrics:

Have you got an email, letter in the mail, or both? (about that service request)

I got an email but no letter in the mail, it has been a week..

I'm wondering because the person who put my info in the computer at CSC messed up my appartment number and i want to know if i'll receive my mail from them or not (exemple: my approved AP)

Is it automatic to get a letter in the mail for the service request?

I put in a service request and all I got was a confirmation number (no letter no email). I called USCIS and had my call escalated to another representative and thats when he told me that my biometrics was scheduled for 10/5/2010 (they mailed the letter from NBC in Missouri 9/7/2010.) I swear the USCIS system really sucks. I call USCIS almost everyday. How annoying :bonk::bonk::bonk: Good luck

Not true. I'm on K1 and was transferred to CSC and will probably not be interviewed. A friend of mine (also a VJ member) was transferred to CSC on K1 and got her GC approved without interview.

Got an email from USCIS today to say that our AP has been approved. Yay!

I'll probably not need it (don't need to travel until next June) but it's always good to have in case I need to travel back to England in an emergency.
