Well after looking over my whole package I realized that I cant find any form that is 'outdated' as they claim. Now what....sheesh....if they sent it back for no reason.....

*sigh* I'll just leave the rest of that thought unsaid...

Even though the forms are not outdated there maybe newer versions on the website. I first started getting the paper work ready for AOS in Feb and by the time we sent it out I know I had to update a few of them because newer versions were on the website. You should always go with what is online hope this helps..

Well I got mine back today...my husband used an old form for the affidavit of support so we have to resubmit the whole package. I'm totally blaming him for this one. lol I'll have it done and we'll overnight it (again) tomorrow so it'll be there on the 21st.

I'm disappointed but oh well....it happens.

I just realized that the I-864EZ form that I used says "Expires 10/31/10" on the top ... it freaked me out as I thought I used an older one. Not realizing the current year is 2010 :)

Well I figured out my error. The I-485 I used was not outdated but it has been replaced regardless. :bonk: Redid them, I have 3 kids so 4 AOS forms and they'll be sent out again tomorrow and overnighted to Chicago. Another 10 days of my life lost. lol

Phew! NOA1 finally.

I sent out the AOS package first on June 18th. I got a rejection notice saying the check amount was incorrect and after a lot of brain racking we discovered that it had to do with my incorrect dob. I had entered it as 28 Feb 2010. :( :(

Resent the package on June 8th. It was delivered on June 10th and i recieved my email and text notifications today. Phew thats a relief.

Now that its done and hasn't been rejected, I guess I'm among the July 10 filers. Good luck to everybody! :)

We just received rejection notice for our submitted AoS application.

The reason given was because a form we submitted was out of date.

It would have been nice if USCIS could have at least let us know which form precisely there was a problem with, but the 797c is rather vague on the matter.

After looking through our rejected application, as my husband and I could find was that our G1145 was out of date. Seems stupid to completely reject our application because of this form. My husband and I were both very uneasy about this matter.

Attached to our G1145 was also our I485 application. It hadn't expired, so we thought it was unlikely to be that. But we checked on the USCIS website just in case.

It seems we encountered a similar situation to that which LiLMermaid has posted about. Our I485 was not outdated, but there are differences between the form we submitted and the one that is now on the USCIS website. Extremely annoying.

We filled out another one of those, and then I spent a stressful couple of hours re-ordering everything (they sure messed up the order of our application) and packing it back up to send to USCIS again tomorrow.

I hope this resolves that problem. Of all the things to get a rejection notice for, I hadn't expected this!

I got my biometrics letter today. My appointment is scheduled for August 4th. I'm not going to attempt a walk-in. I heard it's hard to do so at the West Palm office and I live about an hour north so I don't want to waste a journey. It's only a couple of weeks away.

I'm glad u aren't losing too much time on this. We lost almost a month, cause the msg was so cryptic, they said the check amount was incorrect while it was actually my incorrect dob. Do check if all the other forms are valid too.

Also when I got a rejection notice, I noticed that all the forms has a date stamp on the right had side. So I took fresh copies of all the forms and supporting documents. It was a nightmare. My husband thought it was unnecessary and probably was but I did it anyway.

Good luck with yours

Yup...same damn form. Cnfused me to when none of them 'seemed' outdated so I had to look up each individual form, download it and compare it to what I had. Notice the difference in the form? 3 questions. About weapons training, selling weapons and if you speak english and understood the questions.

Well mine is going back out today...here's hoping we got it right this time! LOL

Thats crazy about the DOB! I was confused enough with the 'outdated'. You'd think they wouldn't be so cryptic. Is it too hard to say "Form I-485 is an old version" or "Form I-485 has errors" ..Least then you'd have known which form to go over. My whole package was a mess too and I did the same...just redid the whole thing except for the job letter. It was an original copy and I wanted to use that in the packet. Oh well.

I'm really disappointed to have lost this time though. Not a thing I can do about it now.

UGH sorry guys about the packages being sent back.

Signed up for case updates yesterday and saw that all three were touched! however, it was more likely that they just entering us into the system...no touches today so far. The husband thinks I'm crazy and we were at the hotel in the lobby using free internet and I was trying to find how to figure out if we'd been touched and he was "c'mon! you're being silly" and then when I saw that we had been touched on that day I poked him and laughed and said what if we had been touched the next day and signed up then and wouldn't've known that we'd been touched the other day?

Not that it makes any difference of course :)

Yup, it's pretty annoying. What maddened my husband and I was why they couldn't just have kept the package and sent back the problem forms. It would have at least saved on postage, wouldn't it? I was always under the impression before that so long as the form dates are valid, then the form is good to use. But it would seem that that isn't so at all.

Ah well, I guess overall it is not a huge disaster. I just don't enjoy the extra delay. Lucky for us, at least it's only a few weeks.
