Just got an email last night (11pm-!!!) that they transferred my case to California!

They touched mine the day after my biometrics and then again 10 days later. Nothing since. I will post if I hear anything. My local office is Tampa as well...I'm thinking that we are both going to be having interviews since we haven't heard anything yet about being transferred.

Same here too..they just updated our Case only right after Bio'. After that day, no more updates. Yeah we can update each other since we belong in same Local CIS, and it can helps us both too to monitor our case as well.

I have the feeling too of having interview. Hoping for some goodnews next-week hopefully. Goodluck to us both.

Maryland is really a funny state. I thought it was a waste of money to pay for a 3 month license. In the mean time we will just wait to the EAD/GC to come. Can you drive legally with an International Drivers license in Maryland?

Yes you can. As long as it is in English they say you can use it for 1year. I was using mine from feb-July when it expired.

I think it's good news, though I wanted to ask here whether anyone can confirm exactly what it means.

On September 3, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators

I know it must be good news because at least it shows that USCIS are doing something to our case. We had a RFE a couple of weeks back, so I've been half hoping to hear something from them soon about that. I guess this means that processing has begun once more now that they've received the information they wanted. But does this email mean that we're likely to skip the interview stage?

At least the email update service was. The actual event happened on Sept. 3 (Friday). I saw another person who had an update on Monday, Sept. 6 but it was also from an event that happened on Sept. 3. Very weird. Maybe somebody was at work.

I was away all weekend so i was hoping to have a nice little letter from USCIS concerning my Bio appointment.. Nothing! Not even the letter for my service request, i'm supposed to be having it by now.. I hope they didn't mess up the adress

My AP was approved today.

Mine was too!!! Woohooo AP approved! I don't really need it though.. hehe

I hope to receive the stupid bio letter soon. I got a touch today on the EAD but it's worthless since my biometrics are still not done.

Mathew got a touch on his EAD today. I guess that's probably them mailing it out. He also got an email from Lexmark inviting him to take the next step in the employee process, so that's good news for us.

But on top of all that good news, one of my stupid family members that I never ever speak to freaked out on me on facebook today because I posted last night saying that my dog was terrified of the fireworks being shot. Apparently these were the people shooting them and she took it like I was attacking her. She's so stupid, I refused to even fight with her. But seriously, if you're out at 11 at night in the middle of September(when it's 50 degrees outside during the night), someone is probably going to get pissed that you're shooting a boatload of fireworks off.
