Not sure if it good news or not, but I contacted USCIS and I was told that my husband has been placed on que to be assigned an interview date on their system? Well I guess I have no choice but to wait. No touches or updates since 8/9/2010. I have an infopass appointment 9/7/2010. Come on USCIS!!!!!!

Congrats DallasChic! That brings hope to us Dallas folks....

I contacted a lawyer whom I have corresponded with before... I had heard about the DORA program today but couldn't find out any further info. Seems the program has been abandoned. This is what the correspondence reads:

ME: I am hoping that you can assist me with a further query - do you have any idea if the DORA program is still effective in Dallas, TX?

I am an AOS petitioner and I have submitted my packet to Chicago Lockbox. Currently, my application sits at the Nat'l Benefits Center awaiting further processing. It has been just about 2 months and I have yet to receive a biometrics letter. I am told by USCIS that the Dallas ASC is extremely backed up and I will be assigned a biometrics appt. as time slots become available. I am with hopes that the DORA program is still in place and I can do a walk-in for expedited processing. I have made every contact possible with USCIS to find out further info without any luck.

LAWYER:Thank you for your email. No, the DORA program is no longer active in Dallas, but you should be getting the biometrics appointment soon.

I sooooooooooooo hope that she has some inside scoop about the processing times... come on bio letter and appointment!!!!

Without any email notice, or website status update, we received our AP documentation in the mail today. Now, we're hopefully just two weeks, and one interview away from finishing this stage of our journey. Good luck to everyone, especially those who are still waiting for those biometrics appointments.

Received an email notification saying that AP has been approved. :) No news on the green card. It was last touched one day after the biometrics.

I'm sorry to hear that Dallas seems to be having a real big backlog. Well, atleast this wait is much better than the K1 wait, so hand in there you guys and I'm sure you'll hear something soon.

Good luck to those with interview appointments! Have we july filers got our first green card yet?

My EAD was approved yesterday... finally.

wowww....good for everybody that most of you here got an approval of there EAD & AP!.....As for me, i haven't receive any touches since the day after we've done our Biometrics :wacko:......I duno' if there is a July Filer which there local CIS office is Tampa got there EAD or AP Approve already.................hoping to get some mails too just like you guys or even update.......... :crying:

got my official "everything is on hold" letter in the mail today :(

I'll probably receive mine today in the mail... But good news, Kimbear from Canada, the one who got the same issue as us, she had her biometrics yesterday and they sent her the approval email for her EAD right after!! So at least, if we can be as lucky, once we get our Bio letter and go to the appointment, it's pretty much approved! :P

01/12/2011: GreenCard approved!!!!

Wow so many great news, congrats to all of those who got approved!! :thumbs:

I'll probably receive mine today in the mail... But good news, Kimbear from Canada, the one who got the same issue as us, she had her biometrics yesterday and they sent her the approval email for her EAD right after!! So at least, if we can be as lucky, once we get our Bio letter and go to the appointment, it's pretty much approved! :P

AWESOME FOR KIMBEAR!!!!! YAY! Yes.. that brings hope...
