It has been almost a month since USCIS got my package and still no bio letter .Should i call them to see what's going on ?!!!

Call them up to ask (put in a service request?), but make sure you talk to an immigration officer; the first person you will talk to is useless and won't know anything (they read off a script). I'd also do a search in the main AOS forum to see what others have done...

:thumbs:Yes I sent my AOS package off on July 14,2010 and still no message or anything from USCIS !!!! I hope that i will hear from them soon .

Well I decided to check the USCIS website to see if they finally entered us into the system and sure enough all our AOS, my EAD and the kids AP's were in there....my AP is still MIA. I guess since we have our biometrics done it pushed it into getting entered in the system. Hopefully others who weren't entered will have theirs entered after their biometrics as well.

It is always nice to have "something" to look at, even if the "last updated" date doesn't change.

oh-read this randomly on the AOS forum regarding getting biometrics letter that's overdue:

Call the USCIS number on your NOA for the AOS. See thread on top of forums here for what NOT to do (abusing AOS employee). You will tell them what you want, to verify if they mailed you your Biometrics. Then the agent will have to go through a long and silly list of questions. Answer nicely. Don't get frustrated.

At the end of all of this, they will put in a service request for you. My husbands letter was printed and mailed the next day.

Thanks Justine and David for your help. I contacted USCIS today and they told me that my husband was placed on the waiting list for his biometrics appointment in Alexandria,Virginia August 5,2010. I was told to contact them August 28,2010 (that will be our 30 days). Maybe then I will be able to schedule an infopass. The waiting is so frustrating.

We got an RFE today. Silly little thing actually - entirely our fault. My husband forgot to sign part of the I845a form. I was astonished - they actually highlighted the part of the form we need to sign, so it looks like a pretty straightforward case. My husband has already signed what needs to be done, and we are making a copy of the letter before sending everything off tomorrow.

Thanks so much for your kind words. At least I know that we will have our biometrics done in Alexandria, VA and they do walkins (good news for me). No touches or updates so I guess I have no choice but to continue and wait.

On the phone with USCIS... couldn't wait til Wednesday to call... anyways, it has been over 30days so....

the kind officer/agent is putting in a service request for me... my case is at NBC in Missouri right now. I *should* get an email within 30 days from now with details of when to expect my bio letter and bio appt. If I don't hear anything then I am supposed to call back :( I cannot imagine waiting ANOTHER 30 days!!! The thought crushes me...

After the bio appt., my I485 *should* be transferred to my local office for continued processing.

Is there anyone from Reno, NV or other cities that has had a biometric appointment where they went in for a walkin (unscheduled) prior to their scheduled appointment?

How difficult is it to reschedule the biometric appointment? Do i need to notify the local USCIS here in Reno to reschedule my appointment? Thanks for your help!

My heart just stopped. We got a text from USCIS. And so I was like holding one eye closed and peeping through my hands to read it, and it was only saying that our case had been transferred and resumed processing. So at least that means its at CSC and they're working on it!! :thumbs:

cecilia--do a search on the AOS forums about Reno biometrics, also try the removing conditions/US citizenship forum since they have to do biometrics there too. Good luck!
