Yeah, you haven't been transfered. Not yet... Maybe it will come, maybe it won't, you should receive an email if it's transfered. Don't worry, you'll still get your green card, sometimes having an interview is way faster than being transfered

I'll bet that's the case arriving at CSC. Mine got touched too. Or maybe that them actually shipping the case TO CSC.

I'd really love to know how many times those files change hands and what they're doing with them when we get "touched"

Mine says this for each 3 cases:

Initial Review

On July 22, 2010, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Am I missing the section that says "transferred"??? wahhhhhhhh!

My I-485 status circle was on "Acceptance" until I was transferred to CSC. It only became under "initial review" when it was transferred.

I think the touch means that the case is now being sent to CSC.. We're supposed to receive another email in like a week saying our case has resume processing at the USCIS office (CSC). But it's just an hypothesis, i'm no expert

Well I really think it's too soon for it to have already arrived at CSC so I bet it's them sending it, like you said. They really ought to put notes whenever they touch our files, lol.

I am beginning to get a little concerned and feelings of being forgotten yet again by USCIS are starting to creep in.Deja vu:(

Well our I-485 and I-765 cases are still not available online,it has not been a month but I thought that having cases online was comforting.And no bio letter,no email about any case transfers and seeing this increasing trend I kinda feel left out.Any July filers who are in a remotely similar situation?

Dont feel too bad because I feel forgetton too. I sent my application July 23rd and since then my application(s) have been touched twice (8/6/2010 and 8/9/2010). I wish I could get a transfer, interview, biometrics, anything just to show that there doing something. My husband is bored out of his mind staying at home. And I must say that longing to uscis and checking my mailbox everyday is getting depressing

Oh thank you! Yeah i feel much better now that i know my case wasn't forgotten! I have a little bit more hopes in receiving my Bio letter soon now hehe!! Hope you get some good news too very soon!!!

Thank you dear Well I atleast wish my cases were online.I could atleast check the site and see no progress than not have a clue and have no progress.hehe!

We filed around the same time,hopefully we both get to hear something this week or soon.I am not bored yet,but I would not like our case to be forgotten altogether.

Is it in the same town as the airport? At the Application Service Center we went to, it seemed as long as your appointment was on that day you could show up earlier. You might have to wait a bit, but is worth a shot.

Yep-appointment and friend-pick up duty are both in Austin. That's good info to know-thanks!

Congrats to everyone who's had some action this week; I'm still on sweet & sour mode, what with the biometrics letter (yay) and the RFE email notice (booo) all happening within 24 hours of eachother... haha. And so the mailbox stalking continues!

Then I noticed that the "Last Update" date got changed ( I am assuming thats what we call 'touch') a couple times and I never got any kind of email or text notification. Yup. I got my biometrics letter dated August 11th while the online case stuff STILL says that nothing has happened as of July 26th.

edit: doh! I just logged in and it NOW says that August 17th, they asked for an RFE. Mayhap they hired some competent folks over the summer...? hahaha.

I'm more of a 10times a day kind of person Since the only thing i do these days while hubby is at work is studying for my Board exams, I entertain myself with facebook, VJ and my online case status! How fun!!!
