Austin is amazing-minus the death heat/gongshow drunken disasters that happen on or around 6th street past 2 am! hahaha. There's never a reason to be bored here, that's for sure.

San Antonio it is-biometrics, river walk and Alamo visitation, here I come I guess...

:thumbs:Yes I sent my AOS package off on July 14,2010 and still no message or anything from USCIS !!!! I hope that i will hear from them soon .

Hello there.

I'm a AoS July filer too!

Here's a bit of my story.

I had to submit the whole package without I-94 which made it very stressful for me.

Long story short, I didn't get my I-94 stappled in my passport at the airport.

A few days later, I called them so they can fix the issue, but they refused.

I set an infopass with my local USCIS office and the officer advised me to file for AoS without I-94, which I did.

Basically I tried to make my AoS package look the best I could, and in place of I-94 I did put a testimony along with the stamp on my K1 visa in my passport + Boarding pass. And I closed my eyes and wait, expecting this package to get returned or something...

But no, yesterday I had an email saying my case was transferred to CSC so I guess that's good news.

You can't get a RFE after being transferred, can you? ^^

Last significant immigration event:

ROC: Approved : 04/17/2013

USCIS works in mysterious ways...

they received my aos and petition for alien relative on the 19th of july and I still havent got any news, the money orders werent even cashed. Im getting worried since its gonna be 3 weeks in 2 days since they got the paperwork. what are your suggestions?

08/24/2010 - Received emails that my package was forwarded to NBC

i got the mail back saying that i overpaid lol gotta take care of that asap!!!

i got the mail back saying that i overpaid lol gotta take care of that asap!!!

Check the birthdates on the forms. My husbands was rejected for "incorrect fee" because I put his birthday as 10/**/2010, i.e. my husband isn't even born yet. Just want to save you another mailing to the lockbox if that is a possible error.

Yeah local office for biometrics.. And from what i see, there's no office in Austin, so since San Antonio is the closest one, i guess yes, San Antonio... Lucky you live in Austin!! I love Austin! 6th street is the best hehe. I'm in Dallas, and i went 2 times to Austin yet. And going back in October :dance:

POUTINE!!! YUM! LOL... best I have found in Dallas is at Dodies... not poutine, but "Cajun Cheese Fries"... it does the job tho :P

Or Whole Foods sells cheese curds.. you can make your own! :)

I have a fresh shipment of Tim Hortons coffee... oooohhh the pleasures of "home"!

I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOtotally hope that I get my bio letter today... and I hope you do too! At least this week!

Waiting is definitely the hardest part...

My best friends are coming to visit me tomorrow from Toronto.. I told them that their "guest fee" is a giant canister of Tim Horton's coffee. LOL! Come by for a cup of coffee anytime :)

btw - I saw a girl at Subway the other day with a "Canada Eh!" t-shirt on.. she musta wondered why I kept smiling at her. Total nerd, I know. It's amazing how much more "Canadian" we/I become once I am away from my home.. and how "American"/patriotic we/I become in my new home :) LOL!

I would think.. I would *hope* that on the I-864 it shouldnt matter too much.. they just wanna know that there is enough financial stability. A minor typo shouldnt matter. However, if it was a HUGE difference like different cities then maybe it would cause a stir?? But a typo?.. not a big deal, me thinks.

It was at the beginning of the word... hopefully it'll be okay... even if it means a couple of weeks delay in cross-checks. They can trace him I'm sure through his SSN etc and see it's a genuine mistake. I'd hope! We've had no problems so far in the process and it'd be nice to continue in this manner.

My husband was touched on 8-4-2010 and then again today on 8-9-10. I am hoping it means a biometric's letter was mailed out.

:lol: nobody knows for sure. It could mean that they sent your application to your local office or to the California Service Center or it could mean absolutely nothing. This process is no good for mental health :no:
