Another question: Is it possible to check the status of your case on the uscis website without an NOA 1?

Nope you need the receipt number, they print it on the back of your check if you have access to that through your bank. But the online system sucks anyway, look at my time line, I've only had 2 touches in the beginning and nothing after that (touch wise...according to the status check) and yet quite a bit of stuff has happened on my case.

I know you're anxious for the AOS and looks like you had a hard time during the K1 with initially a denial :(

But you need to be patient...we all hate this process (dare anyone to say speak for yourself :lol: ), but we can't do much but wait.

..and complain and commiserate with each other :luv:

Green card expiration date: 01/05/2013

Hi AandB, I hope you guys are doing okay! I know you still haven't got your biometrics letter, but it clearly states that the biometrics may take some time if you local Application Support Center (ASC) is busy, in the case you might have to wait.

I really hope you guys get it soon!

Called Moneygram today. They said that the moneyorder was presented for payment 8/4/2010 which was yesterday. Pheww what a relief. Cant wait to get my NOA1 so I can check on my case status from time to time.

OH YEAH BABY! just logged in to find out that we are transferred!!!! we were going to Seattle for religious ceremony and Hawaii for honeymoon in September and were worried about getting an interview date then.

!!!!!!!!!

FYI for those curious, just had a case update online to see that it occurred and we finally went from acceptance to initial review.

I'm so excited I'm going to probably drive hubby to his biometrics appointment tomorrow! or...I mean later today! :dance: :dance:

I just checked online and saw that EAD and petition for relative were both touched... Yay! Finally some movement in it... I was growing concerned that everyone else was already getting their bio letters and my file was still just sitting there. Didn't check to see if there was an RFE... I better go and take a look now. Fingers crossed that all is good!

I got my NOA1 on July 27,2010 and still no Bio letter either .I hope that we both will hear good news soon .

...so how can you tell that it was transferred...

It will tell you in the paragraph underneath the "circles" if it has been transferred.
