Lots of biometrics appointment letters were received today, congrats to y'all! Hope i can get mine too this week!

01/12/2011: GreenCard approved!!!!

Green card expiration date: 01/05/2013
Sent ROC package to VSC: 11/16/2012
NOA1: 11/20/2012

Approval: 04/29/2013!!!!

:thumbs:Yes I sent my AOS package off on July 14,2010 and still no message or anything from USCIS !!!! I hope that i will hear from them soon .

I got my NOA1 for both the I485 and I131 today!

Didn't receive anything for EAD because I didn't apply. Being unable to work due to disability, I did not see the point in applying.

I think we're just going to wait until the appointment and not try to do the walk-in. It's only 9 days away and Charleston is 2 1/2 hours from here.

Wait... it's totally cool to wait until the date you're given right? It won't seem lazy or uninterested?? :blush:

It would seem that having an "appointment" would be just fine, not that it means a lazy or uninterested person. Why else would they give "appointments"? If you can walk in, go for it, if not, why waste a trip to be turned away? I think my husband will have to go 2 or 2.5 hours to get to his and we aren't wasting gas to "walk in" in case he would be rejected. If it was within 30 minutes, no problem, maybe even 45, but not several hours.

I got my NOA1 for both the I485 and I131 today!

You have to wait for your bio letter with appt before you can go for a walk in....

Oh that's great! He's lucky he can have his DL already.. Here in Texas i have to wait for my EAD for it :angry:

You can trade in your Canadian DL for a "Temporary Visitor" Texas DL :) You don't need your EAD to do it...

Still no Bio letter for me :( I feel sad and anxious about it... some of you who sent your packet in after me have already received your bio letters and of course, that makes me worried about my status... ugh.. I hate waiting. Congrats to y'all tho! :thumbs:

I think it really all depends on how busy your local office is. You, me, and AandB have sort of the same(AandB and mine is exact) AOS timeline up until the bio letter and I'm thinking it's because your alls office has a bigger caseload than mine does.

Don't get discouraged, I'm sure yours is coming. :thumbs:

Dont feel too bad. Here in Maryland, my husband has to have his EAD and the Drivers license is good until the EAD is expired. That really sucks

Received my NOA1's yesterday for the AOS and EAD. I didn't apply for AP, pure laziness and dislike for paperwork on my part. I also do not think I'll be leaving the country any time soon! Glad the ball is rolling :)

I hoping my husband's NOA1's come today or tomorrow. Since you mailed yours on Friday, July 23 and I mailed mine on Monday, July 26 it will probably be Wednesday, because I am sure there are people who mailed their packets on Saturday, July 24. I can't wait to get the NOA1's and know that we filled out the forms correctly this time with the right birth date.
