Good day everyone. I got my e-notification today! I'm sure everyone else who filed 07-21 (received) will get theirs today as well or tomorrow at the latest!

About the job. I really only saved up enough money for about another 2.5 months of unemployment so I really hope they hurry up

UGH! I didn't get mine :( ....ahhh well....I always seem to end up waiting the longest. lol Congrats on getting yours now you can stalk the mailman waiting for the hardcopies! I just want the NOA1 at this point so I know this time its been accepted and isn't on its way back to me again. That really sucked.

Oh I'm sorry, I'm sure you'll get it tomorrow - that would be exactly one week. I didn't expect to get mine until wednesday either...

We weren't all that fast with the visa btw. - it took us over 6 months to get to NVC, about a year to get me to the US over all.. but they can take their time with the GC.. as long as EAD flies in soon ;)

So what happened the first time your application got rejected? Some kind of typo? They can be quite the nitpickers at USCIS ey?

Mhh  you're about one day over the average notification date - did you sign up for e-notification? Could be that your NOAs are just on their way via mail right now.

Don't worry though! You'll probably be notified soon  I'd give it another week or so (I know - 7 excruciating days to wait, it can be a real pain) and then contact USCIS.

Good thing is you know it got there and it'll be worked on very soon. All the best!

Yeah K-1 was a nightmare. Montreal is the slowest consulate in the world. Took us a year to get us to the US. As for my rejected AOS... I used the wrong version of the I-485. I looked at the expire date which was 2011 sometime but apparently they updated the form and the current version expires in Dec 2010. The 'new' form had a couple extra questions on it that the old form didnt have.

Your smart reply's of how I'm a pain, don't have to reply and to get a life and complain how I disrespected you? LOL

I told you to Chill..as did others and if you would have read my timeline you would have seen that I sent mine the same day. I didn't mean it in a nasty way but your attitude isn't bringing out my friendly side right now either. As a matter of fact its making me downright annoyed. You've posted frequently...I can see that from your post count. You must know how to use the features of this site. You aren't newbie, them I would just point in the right direction to find their answers. How many people have you seen day in and day out saying "OMG...I send my K-1 in a WEEK ago...I hope I get my NOA2 soon....and not even looking to check out timelines to see some poor people have been waiting years and at the minimum its taking a few months". So yes if I was a tad gruff in my reply it was because it is a peeve of mine when people can't take a moment to even look to see if their request is even reasonable.

Oh and I can and will reply to any post that I want to as well. Last time I checked it was allowed. Especially when you replied back to my original post. If you didn't want me to reply you probably shouldn't have quoted me and I wouldn't have gotten an email about it.

Mermaid, Mermaid, Mermaid, I'm not going to keep going back and forth with you as if there's a competion. As I always say when I meet ppl on VJ "the best of luck on your journey!"

Have you gotten anything yet Krystle? I think mine took a little over a week to do anything. I hope Maggie sends hers in soon so that we can obsess together. We've been so used to ranting to each other. Other people don't get how we are sometimes. :P

Now we're just waiting on his biometrics appointment letter.

No nothing yet, but I'm not worried because I know they have it. I was only worried because I thought the package ended up somewhere else but then I remembered INS is immigration. They can keep the noa, all I want is for the check to be cashed! :D

Biometric letters usually follow within 2-4 wks from what I've seen so hopefully you'll get yours soon!

I have not received mine either, I also filled the wrong version on the form so already know I should be getting mine back soon. Its just that I have NOT, yet. I even filled G1145 for email and nothing. I called USCIS customer support who said that 'it takes 30 days for them to record this in computer' and that point I realized that talking to that person was useless as it isnt true. They also said that even when they return they record information on computer before returning and so far she could not see anything under my A-number.

Hope yours NOA comes through!

Sheesh....they are getting slower then. I received mine back exactly 10 days later. You should be getting it any day now. Yeah calling them is pointless, they just give you the 'wait 30 days' #######. After that they give you 'wait 45 days" and then after THAT its 'wait 60 days". Have more luck banging your head against the wall then talking to them. I'm sure everybody will probably end up getting theirs by the end of the week. I think they just have a huge pile on their desks and they are only 'sorta' in order. I'm waiting after 6 days for my NOA1, so are 2 others I believe and another from 8 days...yet one got theirs today. The average is 10 days so I guess anywhere from 6-14 days would be normal.

Did you fill out G-1145 when you sent back again? Not that it tells you any sooner than the cashed checks.

I think I read about that mix-up with the I-485s - that really sucks... how is anyone supposed to just magically figure there's a newer version of a form if it's (supposedly) good until 2011??... sorry you had to resend everything..

I hope they're not slowing down too much! We'll all be alright :)(F)

Well it was my bad for not checking....I downloaded the form and starting filling it out months ago while my butt was stuck up in Canada waiting for an interview. Opps...in the meantime somebody figured they should ask new immigrants if they have any weapons training and if they could read English. Makes sense but sheesh...they coulda waited till it expired first? lol

So, your husband has a non-working SS#?

I don't know about F-1 but it was on the list of visa's allowed to work Visa Classifications allowed to work but it may be that when you do AOS it isn't the same as my husband's K-1 to AOS as far as the SSA goes.

You didn't come in on a K-1 visa did you? K-1's are allowed a SSN even though they cannot work without the EAD.

Edit: yeah I just checked your profile...your adjusting from an F-1 visa...totally different.

I wonder if this is covered by the same "note for the SSA" that is listed in the guides here.
