I am paranoid everytime i heard my phone beep coz i thought its from USCISW, but nah  (I am really a worrier person).....

Did you attach the form requesting txt msgs and emails? If so you should be getting it very soon. Hate to say this but have you double checked your forms to make sure there were no errors? I didn't hear anything after they received mine on the 9th until I got it back in my mailbox 10 days later. If you didn't sign up for the emails/txt then I would be checking your mailbox about 10 days after they received your petition for your NOA1. It could take longer then that though...10 days is only the average. I wouldn't worry yet and really there is nothing you can do but wait. Calling them would only result in them telling you to wait 30 days. Good luck and hope you hear something soon...I'm sure you will.

Hey thnxs for a quick reply LiLMermaid'. I appreciated it very much. Yes i double check everything before we mail it, and seems we did the right job. I came here as K1 & K2. We married now for 2yrs. & 7mos.. I know u are curious why we didnt filed AOS before. We have so many obstacles in our life that cause the hindrance of our AOS. I got hospitalized twice and same with my hubby & a lot more. Oh well life's full of surprising u know. Anyway, yes we did attach the form to update our application thru texts/email. But still no update till as today. Its more than a week now :-(

Do u count days base on the "receive" days and u count the weekends too? just curious.....i will keep u posted anyway. I see that we belong in the same local office which is Tampa, Florida.

Ok, this may be a stupid question but.....

I wanted to know if where your local office is, depends on how quick your case goes through. I got my NOA1 16th July and havnt been touched since then. I have noticed that people who have filed the same time as me, have already had their biometrics done and some people who have filed after me have their biometrics appointment already.

So, I was wondering if its because my local office is Los Angeles and maybe its one of the busier ones?

Anyone else have this experience?

Im not complaining, honest, I just want to get my EAD and get working asap, im bored out my mind here!!!

Somebody else in Tampa! YAH! I guess you'd get to skip the whole conditional visa and head straight for the 10 year one. I hope that doesn't cause you any issues. I was reading about that and although I dont think anybody has been denied for it they tend to be a bit of a pain about it. Start gathering all your evidence to show why you had no choice but to wait as long as you did. Hospital bills, etc etc...

Honestly I think its all about the money. ROC is another 600 or so, I think mine adds up to over 700 with the K-2s on there. Thats money they won't get out of your pocket and they are gonna want to know WHY. I can totally understand why though...we had the same issues. He was hospitalized for a few days just before we got here, had to take numerous days off for Dr appointments and then another week for surgery. We had to really strap ourselves to come up with the 2810 for AOS. Do a search on the site and check out others that have done AOS after 2 years and see if they had any problems so you can be as prepared as you can be. Don't stress out about it but you can never be too prepared.

They got yours on the 19th so its been 8 days. They've had mine 6. People have been getting txt's at 6 days but they may be having a busy week since you haven't gotten one yet.

I guess the rest of us who sent ours later will be waiting for you to get yours now so we'll know ours is coming soon! lol

Hang in there....do like the rest of us and walk around checking for new txt msgs every 5 minutes!

Yes. Check the processing times at your local office here. For example...Tampa says 4 months for AOS. If your office is really swamped then sometimes it gets transferred to CSC to speed up processing time. That seems to be a hit and miss though because I've seen people wait 6 months and others file months later and have it in 2 months. Your EAD is different though...almost everyone has been getting theirs in 2 months so I'd ..well...chill! :P

Oh and alot of the ones that have their biometrics done do a walkin the minute they get the letter in the mail. I highly doubt this speeds anything up but I'm sure its nice to get it over with. I wouldn't worry until your pushing 2 months and haven't gotten one yet. good luck!

I was under the impression that the travel and EAD stuff was done at Chicago and only the permanent resident stuff was done at the CSC or your local office.

In any case, I think we're both (I got NOA1 on July 16 too) too early to worry too much at this point  but hard to tell myself that!

Yes the local office times are for the AOS part only. The EAD and AP are a different thing altogether. Lately its 2 months and a bit for pretty much everyone. Heh....and alot of them receive their green card a week later! LOL

You should get your NOA1 by txt soon. Since you are filing so late they may look at your file more closely and grill you a tad more at the interview stage but it won't affect you getting your NOA1 or how soon you will get it. You can't call infopass because you don't have a receipt number yet and they would tell you to wait at least 30 days. So if in 30 days you haven't gotten your NOA1 then you can call but that isn't going to happen. It'll be here probably before the end of the week.

Hi everyone, I sent in my aos forms 7/19 and it was recieved 7/21. But I haven't recieved any texts/emails or noa1. When I check the delivery status, this is what I see:

Your item was delivered at 3:06 PM on July 21, 2010 in CHICAGO, IL 60680 to MIXED INS . The item was signed for by D COLONNA.

I thought L.Box woud sign it, should I be worried? What should I do???

Have you gotten anything yet Krystle? I think mine took a little over a week to do anything. I hope Maggie sends hers in soon so that we can obsess together. We've been so used to ranting to each other. Other people don't get how we are sometimes. :P

Now we're just waiting on his biometrics appointment letter.

Oh yea, sorry, maybe I didnt say what I was meaning properly. Im assuming that the biometrics you have to have for the EAD is at your local office, so thats why I was wondering if it was all to do with how busy the office is.

Well think about it this way. The biometrics is a digital picture and a digital fingerprint that is put on your EAD card. You get a letter around 2 months after you filed saying your EAD is approved. Then they print the card and mail it to you. So technically they would need your picture and fingerprint on their computer system sometime in September so they could print your card. That gives you a month at least before they are even going to be thinking about printing yours off. Also try not to put too much faith in the 'touches'. Some people get touched daily and nothing happens and others dont see a touch and get their biometrics letter and EAD and still nothing shows online. It'll come....I don't think I've seen anybody wait longer the 2.5 months to get their EAD lately.
