Is there a specific amount of money that should be present in a joint account for the AOS Interview?

12 days to go!

Thanks guys.

Good luck in the interview. Hope there is no minimum cover charge, 'cause the only official required monetary amounts are outlined in the "poverty line" levels when you had your application approved.

Sheesh, for me, if they ask why there is not much money in the joint account, I will tell USCIS that I already transferred it into THEIR account!

Thanks guys. It is one of our worries because due to our financial, economic problems and adjustments that a newlywed couple needs to undergo, we just barely make it by paycheck by paycheck and keeping our head above the water. My hubby meets the income requirements although we got no savings at all.

I got no job and can't start looking because I'm still waiting for the EAD or the green card itself. *sigh* I hope this will not be an issue to the AOS Interview. :(

It's not an issue. They're not saying all your money needs to be in there, or that it needs to be the ONLY account. They just need proof that you have a joint account, tha you're co-mingling funds/lives etc. Honestly, no issue whatsoever. Not being in the negative might be a good thing though :D
