Stop dodging the issue at hand with your tangential response. Either respond to what I asked directly or don't bother responding to me. OKTHNKSBYE.

On what legal expertise are you expressing such authority?

Beyond common sense and understanding beyond 'wording?'

Minor in Law and Society, with years of studying constitutional law & intent. I can almost guarantee you I take the constitution more seriously than most anyone here...

true, but our judges tend to be ignorant, too.

I'll take the legal acumen of a judge over that of a paralegal.

Yet you have no formal study in the field, just your own studies. Don't discount the value of education simply because you don't have it.

Yet you have no formal study in the field, just your own studies. Don't discount the value of education simply because you don't have it.

Classroom study paints things as black and white. "Formal" study means learning things the way someone else wants you to learn things. Independent studies are a bit different in that you can take out own path and follow true and original intent of the law and constitution.

Too many try to paint the world in black and white text, when it's so much more than that. That's why it's very dangerous when you get someone in the legal field who tries to go by what something "says" rather than what it actually "means." Some of the allaged best legal minds are running the country today and look how far that has gotten us.

You have to actually understand a law and those who wrote the law and what they were doing at the time to truth grasp the rationale and reasoning behind it.

It's actually sad that US Government courses in high school even seem to barely touch or simply ignore the constitution. How can a government class do this? That should be the focal point of any general government class. Even if you want to study constitutional law itself, you're dealing with authors of books with their own political bias in a lot of ways and professors in the same way. Be them liberal or left leaning. I've seen students failed just because they disagree with the political views there of professors. So don't pump up 'formal' education as you call in a controversial field as something that is all that great. It's not. It's good for a starting point on general information, but you'll hardly get what you need to make a well educated observation.

You say classroom studies paint things as black and white, well, dude, that is only true in high school and that is by necessity, and to be fair in the UK higher levels of school education even that's not true, A levels encourage individual thought and an essay that is properly researched and provides proper proof of an alternate point of view will get you an A quicker than simple regurgitation of 'accepted' schools of thought - but the KEY is being able to present a well researched argument that supports your alternate point of view, simply saying you don't believe x is true will be laughed off and rightly so.

At University, individual thought is sought after and rewarded highly, but again it MUST be backed up with fact, simply saying, I don't believe something is true is not enough. As you didn't attend a place of higher learning, all your pontification on the subject appears to be as a result of reading too many right wing blogs that demean higher education as elitist leftism, in other words, you believe it but you have no proof that it is so - that makes you a fail.

That leaves all your opinions on constitutional affairs suspect, to say the very least ;)

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

re-read things and pay attention. I'm speaking from experience, not just off the wall remarks.

I don't think a community college counts Paul, or was it an online one

Nothing wrong with community colleges per se Paul, but they fulfill a different function.

You sound like an excellent candidate for Beck University. Hopefully there will be a law school set up soon!

who said there was anything wrong with them?

I just find it amusing that you try and insult me by putting me into a class you have no business putting me into. As per usual baiting, trolling, and running your mouth purposefully trying to get people to attack you on something. Whatever gives you your self-gratification though I suppose.
