Thank God, my VISA was approved last July 1 but I didn’t want to rejoice until I have it in hand. Finally having it today. I’ve known of some cases where visas are approved only to be told later on that they have been put thru Administrative Processing. I was getting paranoid and running all sorts of scenarios in my mind. Waiting for the VISA to be in your hand is just as horrible as waiting for your turn at the consul’s cubicle, lol.

I’m glad they didn’t have any questions about my husband’s reestablishing domicile and had no apprehension in accepting my co-sponsor, my husband having zero income for the last 4 years being a fulltime student. I guess they don’t have this issue with IR/CR categories, only with the K1s.

I would like to thank all the vjers who have in one way or another helped us. Without this support group, things might have been more difficult. Knowing that you are not alone in this journey makes things a little bit lighter. To everyone out there going thru this process, hang in there and be patient. You will get over this.

2007-10-17Officially engaged to my one and only love hubby & formally proposed in front of my family
