Honestly as long as you have a true and loving marriage. As long as you show proof of co-mingling your lives (and assets), and as long as you complete the paperwork correctly and don't lie, then you'll have no issue.

Hell, half the time K1 AOSers aren't even called to interview. I just had mine approved without interview 76 days after I sent it all in. Please read the AOS thread in my signature.

04/2006 - Interview (1st time) denied

Waited, waited...... no review

06/2009 - Filed k1 (2nd time)

09/2009 - NOA 2 approved

12/2009 - Interview (2nd time) APPROVED! VISA ISSUED

02/2010 - Arrived USA

04/2010 - Married

AOS Timeline

4/19/2010-Sent to Chicago Lockbox

4/26/2010-Received texts and emails 7th day

4/30/2010-Received NOA's(Hardcopies) 11th day

5/3/2010-Received ASC appointment notice(mailed 4/29/2010)14th day

5/7/2010-Walk-in Biometrics done(2 weeks earlier)18th day

5/13/2010-Case transferred to CSC

6/2/2010- Case received/resumed at CSC

6/18,6/22,6/23 AOS touches

6/28/2010- EAD production and touch on AP

I have had the same thoughts since we'll apply soon. in case AOS is denied, what happens? can you appeal, reapply at a later time, or you just have to leave?

I appreciate the fact that all of you say "nothing to worry about", but being it a very important step (and me being sort of paranoid LOL), I am still concerned although I really wouldn't have anything to worry about.

Honestly you have nothing to worry about. AOS is simple compared to the visa, partially because you get to wait together. And not to mention a lot of K-1ers don't get called for an interview.

Feb 1st, 2008 -- Filed I-129F

May 2nd, 2008 -- Visa Interview = Approved. (91days)

May 27th, 2008 -- Damian moves to America!

July 23rd - 30th, 2008 -- Damian's Mum Comes to the US for our wedding.

July 25th, 2008 -- Wedding Day!

March 16th, 2009 -- AOS Sent

May 8th, 2009 -- EAD & AP Approved (51days)

July 14th, 2009 -- AOS Approved!! (118days)

July 21st, 2009 -- Green Card Received (125days)

No RFEs the whole process :) All done myself.

December 4th - 30th, 2009 -- Visited England

April 8th - 30th, 2010 -- Damian's Brother visits us here in PA.

January 19th, 2010 -- Damian got his PA license.

December 10th - 19th, 2010 -- Visited England

September 16th - 30th, 2011 -- Damian's Parents came to visit us here in PA.

June 1st, 2011 -- Mailed ROC to Vermont.

February 21st, 2012 -- 10 Year Green Card Received

April 14th, 2012 -- N-400 Sent to Dallas Lockbox

November 26th, 2012 – Damian Became a US Citizen!!!

I appreciate the fact that all of you say "nothing to worry about", but being it a very important step (and me being sort of paranoid LOL), I am still concerned although I really wouldn't have anything to worry about.

As you are adjusting from a K1 visa yes, you have the chance to appeal. Those adjusting from the VWP and other such visas don't have the chance to appeal (so I hear/read).

It's natural to be concerned but know that if it does go "wrong" in some way it's not the end of the world. You won't get kicked out of the country immediately. There are appeals and all of that available to you. And if you have a true relationship, and PROOF of that (co-mingling assets, joint bank accounts, live together etc) then no issue.
