no NVC case number

I filed for the i-130 and was approved in late May. I received the notice that it was being sent to the NVC. Today I called to check on it and NVC says they have not received it yet! I was told to send an email with a scanned copy of my approval notice to the NVC.

I very upset with myself for not checking on it earlier. But what can I do now?

Does anyone know what will happen next?

They usually say that it will take them a month to forward the petition to the NVC, but it actually takes about a week for it to get there. What does it say on the actual notice? From my experience, they had written on my mom's notice that she was approved to adjust status when she was actually overseas. I did not catch this error for about a month and then called my senator's office who helped with getting an amended approval notice within a day. I hope you are not dealing with a similar adjudicator error.
