Hi - I would appreciate anyone's help with this question as I can't remember where I read this subject. My fiance is the one who is immigrating...but do I only have a certain amount of time to change my last name on my passport once we are married? I know I need to change it sometime, but do I need to do it quickly for his AOS? thanks for any answers :)

She can change her name in passport whenever she wants it.I still didn't changed it because I don't need it. When you apply for AOS just fill in everything with the new name. You don't need an updated passport.

When you are feeling to change her passport just go to a French embassy/consulate and they will register the marriage in France and they will issue a new passport with the new name.
