They are definitely trying my patience. Just got off the phone with NVC and they told me that I'm under administrative processing. And that there is no time frame for this. These motherf****** are really killing me. Sorry about the language but I just can't take this ###### anymore.

16/10/2006- Interview date- I'm nervous and my fiance is cool calm and collective. And she's the one that has to do the interview.

Don't worry... from what I've seen on these boards, USCIS/Consular AR/AP is much worse than NVC...

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I feel like you Williams. Just out in friggin limbo. Now I have to tell my little Galina that we have to wait longer now. This totally sucks. Well at least I can tell her to her face. I'm leaving for Russia tomorrow. Talk to you guys soon.

Copied from my post in the NVC forum.....

Name/Security checks are a normal process with NVC/consulates but the wait time at NVC is generally not too long as cases can and will be forwarded to the consulate prior to the name/security checks being cleared. Administrative processing usually refers to a legally mandated security check the Department of State (NVC) must do for all applicants/beneficiaries over the age of 16. The length of time one can be held up in administrative processing will vary as some countries are subject to closer scrutiny. The process normally takes four to six weeks but as I said it can be much longer. Fingerprints are sometimes required at consulate level but this is all a part of the initial administrative processing that began at NVC. Once an interview is held a visa will not be issued until/unless clearance has been received. In most cases (again dependent of country), administrative processing will be completed and clearance granted well before an interview is even held.

Thanks Wench. That definitely helps me feel a little better about things. I know that alot of people say that they are much nicer at the NVC than the USCIS but the lady on the phone was totally smug about it. Just killed me.

IceySpots you need your case expedited for sure. You and Williams both need your cases kicked in the butt and moved for sure.

By the way, I phone NVC so many times  and they are not all smug I have had some lovely people on there so next time you check you may geta really nice one  I was even discussing UK footballl with one guy as he had lived over in the UK for a few years, he was great and so helpful
