My check went through this morning!!! But, it looks like I have been sent through Texas, so they have not put a case number on the back of my check. Hopefully just a few more days of waiting until I receive my hard copy NOA1... :D

I mailed my packet on June 22nd and it was delivered on June 25th, if that gives you any ideas about how much longer it will be for you. Probably within the next 3 days?

This is frustrating. I thought the check clearing/NOA1 was the quickest part of the process. If even this is taking weeks that's not a good sign for the coming months.

Oh and a random question. How does everyone know their NOA status before getting the receipt number in the mail? Is there a way to check on the application before receiving the NOA1 hard copy?

I agree...this used to be the fastest part of the process. Things have slowed right down.

Before the transfer to the Texas lockbox, the service centres would stamp your case number on the cancelled cheque, which you can check if you use online banking. The Texas intake centre doesn't seem to be doing this, so we'll have to wait for our NOA1. Tough break, it's so annoying.

Holidays definately seem to slow things down for them, before I sent my K1 package in I saw people getting them back in 2-3 days, and then I sent mine in on the 25th right before Memorial Day and didn't get my NOA1 until June 2nd. And I sent in a money order so I was driving my fiancee crazy asking him to check the mail because I couldnt check the bank account for a number... which I regretted after reading people say that you could check on your case number, but I didnt read that until after I had already sent in a money order.
