i have been so hopeful since finding out that my case had been transfered to CSC. but today, i recieved an email notifying me that they are sending me a request for more evidence. now i am nervous!

my questions it this: for those who have had a RFE, what are the most common things they ask for? proof of marriage? financial stuff? what!?

any advice/experiences/comments would be VERY appreciated.

thanks in advance!

K1 visa

K1 Visa process took about 1 year, got married on January 13, 2006.

Got my green card on October 5, 2006.

Removal of Conditions

September 15, 2008: I-751 package sent

November 1, 2008: Received NOA

Januar 13, 2009: Biometrics appointment in Buffalo

May 2009: Notice of case transfered to California

August 3, 2009: received RFE letter; sent in evidence 2 weeks later, USCIS confirmed reception

March 03, 2010: Filed form DHS-7001 with CIS Ombudsman, and contacted my local Congresswoman to try to get my case pushed through.

June 5, 2010: Letter from CIS Ombudsman telling me USCIS is not ready for a decision yet. They didn't give me a timeline for when to expect a decision... this is getting worst...

August 2, 2010: Infopass appointment for I-155 stamp in my passport. Agent who helped me is going to get my file from California and process it himself!

August 10, 2010: Email from my Congresswoman's office, USCIS still not ready for a decision, told to wait another 90 days. And email from agent at local office telling me that his request to get my file was denied by California...

I would'nt worry too much. Just received one on 8/2/06 and the RFE had to do with a wrong date that was entered regarding a dissolution. However it does lenghten the time of processing.

Hey

Please post what the RFE is once you get it. Just curious if it is for medical forms.

i wonder if that coule be. i doubt it though, i know for a fact that all my vaccinations are up to date, as i got a full medical in canada before getting my K1. and when i filed my AOS i had a proper vaccination supplement done. unless the people that did it messed something up (it was in a sealed envelope so i didn't see it).

i will be sure to let you all know!

hi..i got an RFE before..it was my husband's federal income tax that i overlooked to include in the package. also they asked us again my husband's employment cert though we already submitted it before. just to complete everything, we also included in the RFE's my husband's pay stub. after a month, our case was transferred to CSC & got approved w/out interview. don't get too nervious..just make sure that you send completely what they asked you. good luck!
