ask USC fiance to call DOS hotline every 2 days, inquire for case status.

When case status changes to 'casefile opened', then it's time for you to get busy.

Good Luck !

Give USEM a call next week sis. Don't wait for the letter. Ask them if u can set ur interview date. I read here that, if they ask u if u recieve a letter from the USEM, just tell them yes so u can get ur interview appointment. Goodluck!

Hello!

I will describe what I did in July '09 for my fiancee (now wife!).

You MIGHT get a letter from the USEM, my fiancee did get hers.....2 weeks after her interview! Philippine mail service for you. The petitioner in the USA will get a letter, I just scanned in the PC and emailed her a copy. She simply printed it at a cafe for her records.

I waited about 1 week after I got my NVC letter to allow time for the package to get to the embassy. Then I called the embassy using the toll number (18$ I think). I told the operator I wanted to schedule an interview for a K1. She was pleasant and asked some basic info (name, her b-day, NOA2 approval number etc). Then she gave me several dates to choose, simply pick a convenient date. I picked a date about 1 month away to give my wife plenty of travel time for medical and CFO stuff (my wife is from province). After you pick a date, the embassy operator will ask for your email to send you a confirmation e-letter. Forward this e-letter to your fiancee in the Philippines along with scanned copy of your NOA2 and NVC letter. My wife used these to have her medical and CFO done. St Lukes accepted these for her to get the medical. Make sure she has I.D. too. Get the medical minimum 7 days before the interview to allow time for St lukes to send the results to the embassy.

On interview day she showed the guard the papers I forwarded and scanned to get inside and.......................she was approved!

Call the embassy around the 8th-9th July to see if your package has arrived.

I called from the USA. You use your debit/credit card. After you pay you will get a pin number. I think you get 2-3 calls with 1 pin. Here is the link......

It looks like you can call from philippines too.
