Hi there,

i wanted to fill out the I-864 on my computer but neither the one on USCIS.gov nor the one on this site let's me do that.

Does anyone know the link to a current one that I can fill out on my PC?

I used these guys for the I-134. It allows you to save data and preview for free. I got two points for registering so that allowed me to print my I-134 all for free. I-864 is also 1 point. You need to check the edition date is still valid though..

Thanks so far, I just saw that I have a question concerning Part 4.C

My hubbie is a student and therefore didn't file a tax return for 2004.

In that part it only has the following options however:

- I filed single/seperate

- I filed joint return (only my own income)

- I filed joint return (spouse and myself)

Now, there isn't an option for

- I didn't file one at all

How should I answer this question??

The most recent tax year is now 2005. If he wasn't exempt this year as well, then you'll not have to worry about that anymore and just check what he will or has file(d) for this year. If he was exempt again, then *maybe* you could check the "filed single/separate" (or whatever he would have had to file) and just put a note next to it saying that he was exempt from actually filing, but that was his status at the time. He can order your tax receipts from the IRS (for free and they arrive fairly fast - better than my old mobile phone statements are arriving) that will show that he did, in fact, file nothing. I don't know... you may want to call them about this one if my answer/idea goesn't give you warm fuzzies. ttyl,

I believe the instructions tell you to provide a separate letter detailing the reason that you did not file a return.
