I just call NVC to ask about my case, and the operator say that my case still in additional process, they will get in touch with me when they send my case to the embassy. They have my case since June 24, 2010. How long really it should take and what is the additional process they are talking about?

It's best for you to file the paper work because it can be a little confusing for someone in Haiti. I filed mine for my fiance while the case was pending with the NVC. You can get the visa applications under the K1 visa forms. Also, start getting your affidavit of supports ready. You'll need three years of your last tax filed, a letter from your bank stating how long you've been with them and your average daily deposits. The information is also on the listed on this site under example forms. You'll need the following forms.......

I-134, DS156, DS156K, DS-230, DS,157 &158 and a copy of the approved petition. Also, make sure she brings intimate pictures to the interview.

After the Haiti embassy has delivered the packet to her with instructions she can go for her medical and once she has the results she can go to Haiti messanger with all the requested documents listed on the packet then they will give her an appointment at the embassy. the forms must be complete and accurate otherwise they will make her come back. You'll have to gather all the information for her to take to the Haiti Messanger. You can send it fedex to her house.

all she needs to bring is copies of the documents as back up and the interview appointment letter. You will need to fill out the forms for her so she doesn't miss out any thing on the forms.

You're too funny:-) I'm glad I can help my Haitian peeps. You can start contacting them within two weeks because they have to put the packet together to send to your fiance. Haiti has always been very slow in mailing letters to people so you're going to have to stay on top of them weekly. They got tired of me calling for the packet and they still held it for a month. My fiance went to pick it up at the embassy after a month. I don't think they mail them anymore since the earthquake. don't worry I'll send you the embassy toll free number and you can call them to find out when your fiance can pick up the packet so she can have her medical done. in the mean time start getting the documents ready for her to take back with her medical results.

Hi friend, you mentionned the Form DS-230 isn't for the I 130 Petition. I did filled out the DS 230 but i was stuck with questions 19 - 24 I decided to call NVC and the lady told me if it was required by the embassy. I was stuck with with questions 19 I believe " spouse name and so on" date of mariage" since we are just fiance " she said that I don't need to fill ou the DS 230. What do you think? If so, where they ask for father and mother's name who's parent name should i put down mine or hers? Waiting 4 u . Bye

I think it's best to get an updated one because by the time she gets her medical done and return all the documents for an interview date it the affidavit will be over six months old. As promised here is the toll free number to contact the Haiti embassy regarding your case or how you can pick up the packet in order to speed up the process...877-917-2482 and the best time to call is after 1PM and also have your ptp# with you when you call.
