It will be almost three weeks come this Thursday from the time my fiancee entered the U.S.A. I have been reading various threads, relating to applying for SS card. We will be getting married t'morrow in court. Thursday is when I am going w my fiancee to the SS office to apply for a SS card.

She will have her Indian Passport, I-94, as well as her birth certificate. Is there anything I maybe missing in terms of information or need before going to the SS office.

When my [then fiancée] applied for her SS, we had with us her passport [that shows her K-1 visa] and I had just in case copies of the K-1 process. We also had her Translated Birth Certificate but we were not asked for it.. didn't have any problems at the SS Office. In some cases [i have read], some customer service ppl at the local offices do not know well the K-1 process.. In case you have a little conflict, is good for you to remind them how the process work and her name should be in the system by now.
