Obtain C-1 Visa (while in line for K-1 Visa)

A little back story first:

My fiancee and I met while employed on American owned cruise ships. While no longer valid, she has had (2) previous C-1 visas in the past couple of years. In addition to that, her tourist visa expired in February of this year. We applied for the K-1 petition in early May. We have a NOA-1 in hand and we our patiently waiting for the NOA-2.

The question:

My fiancee has an opportunity to work 5-6 weeks in late July/Aug on a cruise ship in US waters–of course she needs a C-1 visa to be able to do this. Is it possible to obtain another C-1 visa while "in line" for the the K-1? And if so, after we get married and are waiting for her "adjustment" to kick in, can she work on the C-1 visa without too many problems?

Thanks

Sure... the I-129F is at the USCIS and the actual visa application occurs at the consulate.... until the petition is approved and on station in Moscow, the consulate does not even know about the K-1....

A C-1 is NOT a working visa... it is a crewman's visa which allows them to transit or layover in the USA for a very short period of time....

When she is here on her K-1... unless you have approved advance parole she had better not depart the USA or she is not coming back anytime soon

YMMV
